Hi,

I understand the most likely response will be from a DJI AI bot informing me that my feedback will be passed on to the engineers. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to vent my frustration here.
In an era when DJI is seeking our support to avoid the US ban, perhaps refraining from gouging your customers might encourage me to engage more positively.
Now, to the point.
Why on earth have you restricted the DJI RC Plus controller from being used with both the Inspire 3 and the Matrice series via software?
Why do I have to pay some third-party company to hack my controllers to avoid buying four separate RC Plus controllers, not to mention shipping them across the country to my sites? Why on earth have you done this?
Even the Mavic 3, both consumer and enterprise versions, work just fine on these controllers. I can understand restricting the consumer drones from accessing this controller, but I do not understand why you have locked out the Mavic Enterprise. Most importantly, why have you made it necessary to have four separate units to run dual control if using both the Inspire and Matrice series?
Why are you forcing me to spend money with a third-party hack just to make something work as it should have out of the box?

Sincerely, A Frustrated Custome

I share your feelings on the Enterprise RC+ not compatible across enterprise platforms...on the other hand I don't like the hacking aspect as with not officially supported or certified you risk problem/accident/... and this could damage the reputation of the professional drone sector.

This is a funny one coming from a US citizen : "Why are you forcing me to spend money with a third-party / buying more stuff" -> capitalism baby! In French we say : pas de gêne, pas de plaisir :-)

If our feedback is so valuable then why has this exact request gone nearly 2 years without a change? Why has the RC Pro Enterprise been out 21 months and still not compatible with anything else? If someone has an M3E, Inspire 3, M300* and an M350 then they'll need 4 different controllers to go along with them. Why? They all are compatible with O3 Enterprise**.  What does GPT have to reply with to that..?

*Firmware update makes it compatible but it also looses compatibility too.

**Inspire 3 uses O3 Pro, which we have never been told what difference that even holds.

Hi there,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

As of the latest update the DJI RC Pro Enterprise remote controller is compatible with DJI Mavic 3E/3T/3M drones.
Starting from v02.01.01.08, the DJI RC Pro Enterprise remote controller can be used as controller B to work with DJI Dock 2 to control DJI Matrice 3D Series aircraft. The remote controller can also independently link DJI Matrice 3D Series aircraft for operating.

For further upgrades and compatibility the relevant department is doing the necessary evaluation to provide the best to our DJI costumers. Hence if you have any specific recommendations you can share it here for us to send the request to the relevant department. We appreciate your valuable suggestions.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Hi there,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

Just remove the software lockouts of these controllers.

I understand the whole consumer/enterprise separation from a business point of view. (i still think you would sell 10x more controllers if you let consumers use the RC plus.)

But your software lockouts on the RC plus is just a slap in the face to your customers.

Hi there,

The DJI RC Plus for Enterprise currently only supports Enterprise drone models such as DJI Matrice 350 RTK, DJI Matrice 300 RTK and DJI Matrice 30 Series, and cannot support other drone models through firmware refresh.

To use the DJI Matrice 300 RTK with the DJI RC Plus for Enterprise, the aircraft requires an offline firmware update to v57.00.01 or later using DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series), and the remote controller requires a firmware update to v01.02.04.40 or later. For more details, please refer to the Matrice 300 RTK and M350 RTK - Compatible Firmware Update Guide on the page of downloads on DJI's official website.

We have also submitted your feedback to the relevant department for further evaluation.
Thank you for your support and understanding.

You see ya nailed your own point.

The Mavic 3E 3T etc ARE enterprise drones AND it's been proven via 3rd party software hacks (NOT HARDWARE) that they work just find - actually the work amazing..

I do not think you understand the pain you are causing for pilots flying around the country... We are not trying to screw DJI out of money here, We just want to pack light and get our jobs done, so we can buy more cool gear from your team.

Please don't make your customers go to 3rd partys to get the compatibility that should have came from shipment.

You have made an absolutely fantastic enterprise controller with the RC plus - like legit the best bit of kit I have used in the drone space...

If its about the money, then just sell the software upgrade - I would pay it.. + 500 USD for Mavic 3 enterprise - HELL YES

Your first sentence is incorrect because the RC Plus can in fact support other drones through a firmware flash. Just not an official or supported firmware by DJI. Your engineers have actively tried to prevent it from working with other drones when it easily has the ability to be compatible. When sketchy looking eBay sellers can achieve what DJI engineers cannot, you lose all credibility with your customers.

This 100 percent..

I now own 6 DJI controllers for current gen drones, its ridiculous.. to fly this all over the county juer because DJI want to get some more money from me..

And yet they want my help to stop them getting banned from America

The fact that you think this is funny coming from a US citizen shows us all that you know very little about the US other than what you hear on the news or watch on the TV.

You miss my point...this is what US companies do abroad, so it's funny "you" are complaining.

Ad hominem arguments are invalid as you have no idea about what I hear or watch.

Cheers!

Hi,

I would also love to see the DJI RC Plus support non-enterprise drones like the Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Classic. A more rugged and feature-rich controller would be a great addition for enthusiasts and professionals alike. Hopefully, DJI considers adding compatibility in a future firmware update!

Kobi.
