I have a DJI Avata 2 with the Samsung - Pro Plus 256GB SD card that was recomended with the bundle. It worked great for the first few weeks and then either wouldn't record or would record with a date/time stamp about 48 hours behind the actual date.

I re-formatted the SD card and reinstalled the firmware (v01.00.0300 from 2024-05-28) with the DJI Assistant and that resolved the issue for a few weeks. However, I'm having the issue again. Last night I recorded for about 3 minutes. I was seeing the RED recording light with a counter of the amount of time but nothing was saved to the SD card even though it has plenty of space.

Clearly there is an issue here @DJI do you have an official defect ticket submitted to Engineering yet? If so, what is the status?

It's not your SD card thats causing the date issue, the Avata 2/goggles seem to loose the date from time to time,   when I reported this they told me to sync with the phone regularly to refresh the date./time.  Hopefully it will fixed in firmware soon,   there is a big thread about it here - https://forum.dji.com/thread-312392-1-1.html

@DJI natalia,

Thanks for the response

How do I submit those? Is there a support section of the website or do I use this thread?

Also, what do you mean by an "Operation Video"? Do you mean a video of me demonstrating what I'm seeing?

@DJI natalia,

Thanks for the response

I think they mean the video from the goggles showing it turning recording off and the synced flight log so they can investigate. Create a support case, submit the video and make sure you give DJI access to the flight log thru the setting in the DJI Fly app.

Thanks. I don't have a SD card for the goggles. I'll have to get one and wait for the issue to happen again.

Ahh I see. You should def get one, super fun to watch and nice to have. In the setting you can enable record on liftoff and choose recording on both bird and goggles.

Yes, I had it set to record automatically but that included a lot of video I didn't want so I turned it off. However, I will probably turn it back on because the record button on my FPV Remote Controller 3 doesn't work most of the time. So I have to stop flying and use the goggles to start/stop recording.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble caused. Could you please try the following troubleshooting steps and check if it works :
- Make sure you're using the latest version of the DJI Fly app , the drone and the controller
- Ensure both your DJI Avata and the FPV Remote Controller 3 are powered on and restarted. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve temporary glitches.
- Try calibrating your remote controller and you may check user manual for the instructions ( page 18 )
[ https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _Manual_v1.0_EN.pdf ]
- Inspect the record button for any physical damage like cracks or debris that might be hindering its functionality.

If the issue still persists, kindly send us back your remote controller for diagnosis and the corresponding team will inspect and share the updates. You may submit the repair request at [https://www.dji.com/sg/support/repair].

Thank you for your understanding and support!

I also experienced this last night while covering a concert. I flew my Avata 2 and hit the record button. I saw the red dot indicating it was recording, but when I went to review the footage, nothing had been recorded. This is frustrating and made me look bad with my client. We need a resolution ASAP.
