Realese the O4 Air Unit or let us at least know what the status is!

Could you let the them know they can at least release goggles 3 o3 compatibility now?
People know it was already in the firmware before it became official with the release of the avata 2. So just release it...

This is just getting ridiculous.  When purchasing the latest and greatest in technology from a company means that your gear is objectively LESS useful than buying the previous generation for a fraction of the cost, there are serious problems.  But hey, at least you can get an electric bike from them, right?

There's always Walksnail...

I've both the Walksnail Goggles X as well as DJI Goggles 3, and while I do by far prefer the Goggles 3, the WS Goggles X isn't half bad when paired with the Moonlight 4k...

There's options, DJI ain't the only FPV game in town...

Release date or compatibility is probably not going to happen. I think they are waiting on the status of the DJI ban BS in US since it’ll affect their sales. :/ I stopped even hoping for the compatibility or new products such as o4 air units. Was excited and now I could care less. If the ban happens. May have to go back to Analog FPV systems cause I’m sure DJI care refresh will be useless. So I recommend not to buy DJI care refresh due to the fact that the possible ban may hinder it useless. Idk. All of this is very frustrating both from ongoing US DJI ban and DJI not releasing compatibility or the new o4 air unit which is overdue. Great products just lots of politics involve that affects Al users from hobbyists to commercial. Tired of it.

Eh US market is only 20% of their sales. Should not stop them releasing stuff as normal for other markets. Or even still sell stuff in the US while they can.
You can see they are releasing stuff normally atm.

I think it’s a little higher than that but that’s US alone as compared to other countries around the world. It’s good for DJI. I’m sure they’ll continue to keep selling and improving their products even if not selling in US but that’s a huge cut in sales. Just saying that’s a lot of money not to be made.

Would it be remotely possible to provide any specifics as to what the differences between the O3 and the O4 might be?

So apparently there is a Pro and a Lite version. The Pro camera looks bigger than the O3 camera, but the moved the mounting screws away from the center to make it more compact.  I hope this means that it's 20mm wide and will fit in O3 frames with minor changes or only a new TPU mount.

I'm dreaming, but I really wish they would offer a camera with the Avata 2's gimbal.  And also a camera with a rectilinear lens.  More camera options for the O4 would be amazing.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to its release.  And I hope that we get it on time here in the U.S., unlike the Neo and Air 3s.

It's not the same camera as Avata 2. We have a faster lens (ƒ2.0 vs ƒ2.8). So also a different lens schema.
Theoretically better low light performances. But ND are mandatory in day light.

Who knows what other equipment the O4 will work with besides the goggles?

Here are the latest leak photos from Jasper X27 on Twitter.  There were rumors that the O4AU had an F2.0 camera, but it's the exact same camera as the Avata 2 and has an F2.8 aperture.  This photo is much clearer than the previous leaked photo.  I like that the power/data cable is on the same side as the MIPI cable.





I hope that this is the next DJI product release and not the Flip drone.

Good thing no one listened because the ban didnt pass this year and theres rumors of two versions of the 04 air unit to be released any day now!
