What causes the Active track to fail? When attempting to hightlight a subject IE person on a motorcycle the RC states that it is only able to follow people or vehicles. Once I have my subject highlighted the drone locks on for a short time and starts preforming erratically(which is a safety concern) whether this be with a moving vehicle or sitting still on orbit? Attached is a quick example.

Hi there, thank you for reaching and we do apologize for the trouble. Currently, the main identifying objects of ActiveTrack are vehicles. The identifying effects are not ideal when the identifying object is a two-wheeler, tricycle, or other unusual vehicle type. We will work to improve product performance, and to enrich the identifying vehicle types in subsequent product function updates.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Active track on ANY of the equipped DJI drones is/has always been unreliable. Anything that gets into the view of the camera like a sun ray, shadow, bright or dark spot, etc will affect the tracking. I have had best results with midday (no shadows or sun rays) and very "contrasty"  clothes. Like if you have a white shirt on a white motorcycle against a light gray parking lot and the sun rays coming into the scene. Spotlight mode works the best but then you have to control the drone while the camera angles to keep the subject centered. For what you are trying to do (follow/track yourself) you'll have to experiment with background, distance, and color. The Skydio were the best at autonomously following/tracking but that was its best trick and what they were made for.

I will experiment with different contrast of background and color. I have successfully tracked subjects like cars and trucks as well as when walking but have been having issues with the Motorcycles, bicycles, and jet skis. Thank you for the input, any knowledge that can expand my craft is always welcome.

I have used AT following me on my bike and have had no issues, I have not tried the POI but Active track works well for me. Try the different times of day has recommended above and you can also try doing a FW refresh using your PC and Assistant 2. Erratic movements can be caused by various environmental contributors has well, also a bad compass calibration can cause issues. I would also ask that you upload that particular flight log here so that someone can look into it and let you know what could have caused the issues. Go to the link below and upload there and post the link back here.
