QUESTION If I take my Mini 4 Pro Fly more on an international flight, can I leave the batteries in the charging hub? Anybody been ok with this in carry on?

Always carry them in the charger, I've never had a problem at Gatwick UK, Oslo or Tromso airports in Norway. Never been asked to show how much charge is in them, although I always travel with about 50% charge.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

The DJI Intelligent flight battery can be stored in the charging hub. However, it's important to maintain the batteries to avoid any potential battery issues properly. Just a reminder, we highly recommend removing your batteries from the charging hub after fully charging them and then placing them in a safe bag or storage box. Also, please remember to review your airline's regulations regarding transporting batteries when you travel.

Should you have further concerns, please reach back here at DJI Forum. Safe flight always!

Why should I do this if they are DISCHARGED??? Seems DUMB information!! I need the room in my bag not have to add more things.
Typical China.....

You need to make sure there is some charge in all the batteries.  Sometimes the airport security will ask you to power on the device to show its a real battery.

I have not had anyone ask me to power on a device for awhile now.

Thanks for the reminder about not leaving batteries in a hub. . . I don't seem to recall hearing that before.

Typical China has NOTHING to do with it.  Lithium batteries, regardless of what country produced them get special handling.  I'm sure you know that and prefer to make condescentingracist derogatory comments that provide no light.

Check with the airlines via email for a written reply.  Take the written reply with you to your flight.  Show the gate check-in attendant and share that you have these in your luggage/carryon to make sure regulations haven't changed, etc.  Just be a responsible passenger and leave you attitude at home.
BTW- Lithium Poly batteries never completely discharge.  When you monitors show a 0% there's actually a fair amount of voltage still stored.

All airlines have the same rules.
They are all based on the IATA guidelines.
None require the batteries to be discharged.

yes . theay are BASED . at the  same you can't deny that they may have their own specific additions.  IMHO the best way to avoid problems in flight is to ask you airline company you are travelling with .

All the airlines I've ever checked have the same rules for lithium batteries.
I'd be most interested in any differences you can point out.
The airline doesn't carry out security checking anyway.
It's always done by airport staff, the same regardless of what airline you fly on.

All anyone needs to do is check their airline website for dangerous goods.

I suggest checking the airline's website to see if drones are allowed and the country or city laws of your flight's destination your planning to fly your drone at before traveling with it.
