Just purchased a brand new Mini 4 pro and am unable to complete activation as it keeps giving me a server error.

Have tried two different hotspots but unable to get anywhere with it.

Can log into my account via the RC2 but then fails with an Error Code: Server Error (-2). Check and try again.

Have noticed a fair few similar posts but with no answers to how to resolve.

Hi and yes,purchased through official DJI store in the UK on Wednesday and delivered by DPD today.

Box still sealed and able to connect to internet and account via RC but fails to authorise.

Can see several posts across the forum reporting the same problem and error code so would think the DJI server that provides cover for the UK or even Europe has a fault.

Have updated firmware after experiencing this fault via DJI Assistant 2 and still receive server error.

Obviously a massive quality control issue with DJI products it seems as several other people around the globe experiencing the exact same problem and errors if you see the link and last few posts that are new.

Im frustrated also but obviously will return the drone as its obviously faulty and either ask for a full refund and stick with my Mini 3 or get a refund anyway and purchase locally incase i have the same problem.

This is not a firmware issue which is blowing my mind admins are suggesting this as a default, customer service said the same thing to me. I bought a mini 4 pro 2 days ago from an authorized dealer in Canada and had the same issue. Returned it and they gave me another brand new one and the same issue. The dealer contacted head office and the issue is the servers not the firmware. On day 3 now...

Not on here but a facebook group several people have authorised new drones without a problem but they all seem to of had an earlier firmware in the controller.

Such a frustrating experience. First time owner and this is happening. It would be like going to Apple and your new iPhone is bricked.

same here changed it 2 times still have the same error code. hope they fix the server this monday, looks like they have issues since friday.

did a software update of the july 25. same issue. will wait 1-2 days to see ifthe fix the server.

We apologize for the inconvenience that occured. Could you please try to connect the remote controller with the DJI APP.
Then go to the DJI Fly app, tap “Connection Guide” on the home page and select the target model to initiate the firmware update check.
PS: Please do not directly go to “Profile” > “Check for Firmware Update” after connecting the remote controller with the DJI APP, no firmware may be available.
If the presiss still occurs, please send us the screenshot, we will help you to check it out.

Is there any other way of sorting this activation issue without sending it back to the Netherlands.  As I wish I hadn't bothered buying a dji anymore as I thought these were the best. But not anymore

Yeah, seems that the crazy SERVER ERROR -2 started again.
In our forum is also a person that purchased it from AMAZON Italy, got server error...I thought this issue was solved by DJI, but seems to be here again....Nothing can be done guys, You need it returned and exchanged....I advice you to send to DJI so the returned one to be checked, as the store will probably have a full lot of malfunctioning ones...Is not one or two, is full lot of hundreds of pieces.
