Hi,
As of lately I have been having issues with the Dji Mic 2 just stops recording audio, it works fine for severeal clips then when I start to record from time to time I noticed it has not recorded the audio and the first sign is that the green sound meter has frozen on the lcd screen.
Fix: I need to power off/on Dji Mic 2 and Power off/on Dji Osmo Action 4 and it re-connects and works fine for a while again.
Then another issue started to appear, My Dji Osmo Action 4 can start recording then suddenly just stops recording and it shows as if it records but the lcd screen clearly shows the frozen picture. During playback it starts to record but after x seconds ( early ) the picture on the lcd froze and no recorded data.
Fix: I try recording again, and from time to time it has now happend
I have the latest firmwares on both
I have now done a factory reset on Dji Osmo Action 4
I have re installed firmware on Dji Mic 2
I do not find firmware for Dji Osmo Action 4 on the download site ? So that I can try to re install firmware.
I have changed SD card from Lexar 128gb SDXC UHS-1 V30 A2 to SanDisk Extreme Pro 256gb SDXC UHS-1 V30 A2
Taken out the battery for a longer period of time
I just came from Thailand making videos with this setup for a month without having issues before the latest firmware update, can this be a firmware issue ?
Anyone else experienced this issue ?
I will do some more testing now that I have done the above and hopefully it does not happen anymore.
I love the products when it works, here a what footage and sound I managed to make a video out of that day.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I guess since I have factory reset my Dji Osmo Action 4 I need to wait until ( if ) it occurs again.
There is no overheating issue that I have noticed.
When it comes to the SD card I been using Lexar Professional 1066x 128GB U3 A2 V30 MicroSDXC when this issue has happend.
It does sound a bit like an SD card issue they can eventually start to fail in various ways after many re-write cycles.
So trying a different one would be worthwhile as they are relatively inexpensive these days.
It sounds like you know your stuff but formatting the card in camera after downloading is generally best policy.
I wish DJI didn't have format card option hidden well down menu system, I bet many don't even know its there.

Hi,
The Sd card is not many months old, but has been used well, and agree with you I always format my Sd cards in the DJi menu before a project either it's my Dji or I am having a photoshoot with a client with my camera Thanks for replying!

Hi,
Have now done some testing and it happend again, 15 video clips and one of the clips the sound cuts after maybe 2-3 seconds and i am only 3 meters away. I also notice now a slight movement of the frame while standing still on a tripod, like the frame is slowly sliding to one side.. barely noticable but it is there. The video recording did not cut this test, yet..
I have exported the log files, but where do I send the log files for you to investigate ?

Hi,
Since the latest firmware update for the DJI MIC 2 that came out after I posted my issue I have installed the new firmware and been testing it for several hours with around 100gb of video clips with dji mic 2 and the action 4. It seems now that the issue I had is gone. The Audio does not suddenly stop and the connectivity issues is also gone. The video clips has stopped freezing during recording as well. So I am a relieved and happy to use the gear and know that I can trust it again when out making my stuff
Here is the first video after installing the new firmware and testing the audio:
