Hi,

I have DJI Goggles2 with o3 air unit paried on a custom build drone. Tried flying it in different places with noisy environment (lots of buildings with wifi signal all over) also clean environment (less than 5 wifi signal detected). The range of flight is still aprox 200m before the signal gets weak to the point of risking signal lost.

Done FCC ham file, where the region i am in is legal for FCC standard, set to 20mhz, ch5. Even tried in "auto" mode. The range is still the same aprox 200m.

O3 Air unit is declared to be able to fly 10km in clean environment for FCC standard, but i can't even get 1/10 of the range.

Is it my setting problem, or it's the hardware problem, or even the software problem, that i can't even get a 1km range?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. May I confirm the location of the country you are flying? If it is Singapore as in your profile please do take note that it falls under CE category and it is only allowed 2KM Max Video Transmission Range.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
(1) Check whether the firmware version of each part is the latest.
(2) Check whether the top of Air Unit antenna is correctly installed with no obstruction.
(3) Check the distance and altitude when the image transmission is disconnected or the remote controller signal is lost during the actual flight by the user.

If image transmission is disconnected or the remote control signal is lost at a close distance (within 200 m)  after the above troubleshooting steps please DM the logs of Air Unit and goggles for us to check further on this issue with our engineering team.

We are looking forward to your response for further assistance. Thank You

Hi, even if its CE standard, declaring it to be able to fly 2km, but my signal range is losing out when it reaches about 200m. It shows the orange warning glow at the bottom of the goggles2 screen.

I understand it may not be 100% as declared by technical spec. But not able to be about 50% it seems unreliable.

Btw Singapore is using both FCC and CE.

Hi there,

Thank you for the confirmation. Orange bars are displayed when obstacles are within the detection range. Could you DM the logs of Air Unit and goggles for us to check further on this issue with our engineering team.

We are looking forward to your response for further assistance. Thank You
