Hi all,

I have the Osmo Action 4 which I have been very happy with for a while now, and have recently ourchased the GPS remote to go with it.

While I have been able to add the various telemetry overlays to clips in the mimo app, virtually all of my videos are edited on my pc so this adds another step which would be good to avoid if possible.

So instead of downloading clips to my phone (which may have limited storage space for a large project) > adding telemetry overlays > transfer to PC and then starting my editing, is there any way of adding the overlays on the PC?  Maybe a plugin for Davinci Resolve or even just a desktop version of the mimo app would be good as it would allow me to cut out one of the file transfer stages.

Thanks.

I would like to see a Mimo Windows App to do this.  You can use the Telemetry Overlay program but it is a $150. I would also like DJI to give us an option to extract and save the GPS data from the MP4 files to GPX so that I can put it in my mapping application.

With a quick google search, seems like Exiftool can extract from video file and export as .gpx.
But need to try if it will work for OA4 files and not only from other brands.

DJI really do need to sort out a desktop version of the mimo app because editing on a phone is painful.

Aside from this, I have noticed that when my videos are exported with dashboard overlays a "DJI OSMO ACTION 4" watermark is also added to the bottom of each clip, even though this is not shown in the preview.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Theres a way around it but you may not like it and thats to forget the DJI remote.
You can add a GPS tracker to your phone and then import the data from the phone as seen here

Hi there. Footage that has been edited exclusively through the DJI Mimo application will bear a watermark. However, footage saved directly to the SD card will not contain a watermark. Please follow the below method to eliminate the watermark.

Path: Enter media preview- Select one video- Click download and select export settings- In the export setting, you can disable the watermark.

Natalia can you please put in a feature request to have the Action remote compatible with Pocket 3 so that we can have GPS telemetry data for the Pocket 3?

Hi Natalie.  You say DJI are trying to make things better and better, so why is there not a desktop app for windows and mac which A LOT of people are asking for?  Seems bizarre that you have to download big videos files to phone with limited space, only to edit, save it again to phone to then transfer to a computer to then do your final editing.  Not very efficient at all.
