Hello everyone,

I am trying for a research to characterize noise my DJI Inspire 2 is creating and it will be of a lot of help if I can somehow track RPM of its propellers.

Can I somehow estimate it from a voltage battery is outputting, and multiplying it by KV factor of motors (looked that online somewhere but not so sure).

If not has anyone tried this before, or has any recommendations?

In this example i suggest to replace the Oled screen by an SD card, also add a GNSS module to get the timestamp.

Or you could buy one already made... There are so many options...

This ONE is just one of them...

If you search, you will find one that does fit your budget...

I am not an inspire user so make allowance for any gaffs but does the screen device record a DAT flight log and is that log processable with CsvView?

I have one Inspire DAT and it is processable but it if from an OLD Inspire, I do not know if the more recent ones have processable DATs.

Thank you all fore great replies.

I will try the arduino project but first i wanted to see if i can pull it from flight logs.

Sean-bumble-bee to reply ti you, yeah inspire 2 has a processable dat file, but i do not see those motor speeds, and where to check them, is it possible its somewhere and i cant reach it or is it totally removed?

Can you upload a DAT to a file hosting website, make its page public and then PM the URL to me and I will have a look.

You having said "but i do not see those motor speeds," has stirred something in the back of my mind about another 'recent' drone not having motor rpm in the DATs but its a very very vague recollection.

That said, a bit of googling found these

post 2 might be of particular interest

Thank you so much!!!

You are welcome. Its a pity that dji don't number the mavic 2 DATs in the same way, with the mavic 2 and perhaps other Go4 drones, the DAT number goes from 099 to 0000 at 99 + 1 and ticks up from there
