Can't clear local storage

I need to update the firmware on my Mavic Pro 3 remote controller and drone. However, when I try to update I get the message: insufficient storage. Additional 62 mb required for update. Free up space and try again. I went into storage and cleared all of the caches. I connected the controller via USB to my computer and deleted all of the data in each folder in the internal storage. Nothing changed. I thin went to the controller and physically deleted every file. Still no change. WTF?

I have the Mavic Pro 3 and the RC Controller 2 that came with the fly more combo. I was able to clear up enough space using the clear data button at the bottom of the camera page I believe. There still isn't a lot of space. It shows 6 gigs out 8 are being used by the system.
