Haven't flown my P4P for about a year. Can't get it to connect to the controller. Probably can't upgrade firmware anymore. Believe no support from DJI anymore.
Anyone able to sort this old bloke out please.

IF you have the P4P v2 aircraft, there are firmware updates available for the aircraft and regular (no screen) controller.  These updates will enable the Remote ID function on the P4P v2 only.

If you have a non v2 version, I would still check to see are available.  Try using DJI Assist 2 if you have a laptop or PC.  If no new firmware update is available, try refreshing your current firmware levels on both the controller and aircraft.  If they will not link after that, you may have a hardware issue.

Good luck and Fly safe.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
I have connected drone, not v2, to controller. Could you believe it took going through 6, six lightning cables to find one that worked. I then was able to fly my drone at my house but experienced massive wireless interference. Penny dropped and the realisation of having 8 cctv wifi cameras on my house may account for the interference. Will be going to the local oval today to test that theory. I assume that the condition of my firmware is as good as it will get due to no support from dji. Shame about that. P4P was supposed to be their hero. Certainly mine.
Cheers and thanks.

Hi Gizmo. Downloaded Assistant 2. Logged in but nothing. Fully plugged in to drone but no link on screen to activate app.
Ah well, I'll just play around with the drone at the oval.

Check to see if you downloaded DJI Assistant 2 for Phantom.  The Consumer and Enterprise versions of DJI Assistant 2 will not recognize your Phantom.
