Just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 to replace my aging S3, which I've used to fly my Mini 2 around my house with the DJI Fly app for the last 2 years. I do not live in a restricted or no-fly zone, though the Orlando International airport no-fly zone is a mile or so away. I've always been able to fly up to 400 feet from my yard.
But when I tried to fly with my new tablet, I get an error message saying "Before you fly - No fly spots available nearby". I tapped all over the screen and get no response; the app is frozen.
Location service is on, and the DJI Fly app has location permission. I'm trying to fly from a starting location I've used many times before.
When I first tried to fly with the new tablet it was connected to a VPN; I thought that might have been the problem but got the same result after disconnecting.
The S9 tablet isn't on the DJI compatibility list, but neither is my S3 and it worked fine before it died last week.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Surely I don't have to downgrade my tablet in order to use my drone?
