As the title states, I'm getting so fed up with the mic and action 4 not working for whatever reason. I've updated to the latest firmware for both products today, it was working when I was using it, I then switched off the camera and put the mics back in their box to charge a bit, and when I tried to use it again the mic is no longer detected. This has happened more times than I can count, how are these products £300+ so unreliable? I could be walking along thinking I'm recording and then bam, mic decides to randomly disconnect and not reconnect. What's the issue?

Have you tried this WITHOUT using the charging case?  Never had a single problem with ours. 100% reliable.  The charging case does have a 'linking' function, possibly some connection with your reported issue?  We charge them via USB-C cable.
Are you seeing the solid blue (BT) indicator on the Mic 2? Or is it changing to green (wifi mode)?

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. This is a normal phenomenon, because after Osmo Action 4 is power off, it is equivalent to being disconnected from DJI Mic 2. DJI Mic 2 will need time to automatically reconnect to Osmo Action 4, so it will not be able to record audio in the first few seconds with DJI Mic 2.

I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!

DJI Gamora, the op has a similar issue to me. The mic doesn’t reconnect unless you pair it with the camera again.  At other times it works fine and suddenly, the camera no longer recognises the microphone so you have to through the pairing process again.

Unfortunately, it doesn't reconnect at all, which is the issue. The only thing that "fixes" it for me is if I reinstall the firmware files, but this is hardly a fix because I can't do that while outside if it decides to stop working. And I have no way to know when it will decide to not work. I did exactly this before I went out yesterday, I reinstalled the firmware files and made sure the mic was connected and working, it was working for the first couple hours, and after a couple of uses turning devices off/on, the mic just stopped connecting again. I waited 2 mins, 5 mins, 30 mins, switched both the action 4 and mic off and on and resynced and nothing. It's completely random.

sounds to me you need to send the whole unit in for repair , and let DJI resolve it good luck. Rx + Tx no issues of that at all IMHO

Same issue here, the mic will not be detected the 2nd time the Action 4 got turned on. Cannot reconnect it without removing the Action 4 battery and start over.

Sometime, the mic suddenly disconnected during a recording.

This is not only anoying but also lost productivity and lost data.

Same thing here. The OA4 and Mic2 will connect when I start both up at the beginning of the day. Part was through the day, if I turn them off then later back on, they won't always connect. In fact at times absolutely nothing will make them pair. The only thing that works it time. i.e. turning both off and leaving them off for a long period then turning them back on and waiting. It's a massive pain especially on a motorcycle.
