It's time to sell my Phantom, but after approx 3yrs of storage, all 4 batteries are dead, Is there a way of Kick starting them back up? Iv'e tried charing for long periods but nothing. Looks like I will be selling as spares.
I had a phantom battery die on me too. I only left it for 1yr and it would not start at all. I tried everything and could not get it started. There is no way to jump start them. You could try cutting the power cable and attaching a adjustable power supply to add more volts in.

I've given up on them. one of them looked swollen anyway. They are in Lipo Safe bags at the moment waiting for me to take them to the tip.
Last night I used one of my phantom 4 batteries and I drained it to 15% and once I landed it, the remote controller said that the battery was broken. I looked at the battery and saw that it swelled. The battery cooling vents were blocked because of the swelling battery. I kept it overnight, and this morning it looked completely flat and the air flow vents were not obstructed. I do not know what happened with the battery, but I done know if I should charge it.

The battery cells are in a sort of balloon. The cells swell up and so the balloon swells up too indicating that the battery is bad. This is the consumer's first warning and first line of defense. If the battery appears to now be completely deflated, the balloon likely popped. But the cells inside are still swollen and still bad. You should retire the battery ASAP. I would remove it from the house right now.
The balloon did not pop, and it looks perfect just like my other battery. I think I might try having a fire extinguisher next to me while I sit near the battery while it charges.
