Hi,
I was testing today some of the Quick Shots on the Mini 3 Pro and it seems that these always film at 30 fps (actually, I ran the files through an app and they are at 29.97 fps), but in certain circumstances I may want either 24 fps or 25 fps; is there a way to fix this?

Thank you,

D.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

We apologize for the delayed response. The standard of 29.97 fps is due to it being the industry default. Typically, a few frames are reserved for additional information. The Quickshots feature on the DJI Mini 3 Pro operates at 30 fps and does not accommodate additional parameters. Hope this helps.

Should you have any other questions, kindly message us for assistance.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Ok, it is what it is. But 30fps is not the industry default. To begin, which industry? Film is at 24fps, British TV is 25fps, and American TV is 30fps. There is no reason that I can see that DJI would not give the operator a choice, as they do when it's not a pre-set "Quick Shot". Albeit, thank you for coming back to me.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

I apologize for the previous confusion. I have consulted with the relevant department on this matter. When the NTSC system is applied to black and white displays (Luma component), the frame rate is indeed 30 fps/60 Hz. However, after the chroma component is added, the subcarrier of the chroma component and the original brightness component are modulated. Due to the inconsistent frequencies, this will lead to the generation of a beat frequency. The solution is to change the frame rate to 30000/1001 (29.97) and 24000/1001 (23.98). This will greatly reduce the frequency at which the beat frequency is generated. This rule has remained as a standard for CRT TVs. Hence, it is normal for a video shot at 24 fps to be displayed as 23.98 fps.

Hope this helps. Should you have other inquiries, feel free to contact us. Thank you.
