Phantom 3 pro ESC error

Long story short is I started up my aircraft without motor screws by accident which resulted in twisted red, black, yellow wires on all four motors. After opening the case and straightening them out, I replaced one motor which had an obvious problem but when I start it up I still get the ESC error and the motors wont start.

I've done a controller update (1.9.2) as well as an aircraft update (1.11.20) and I'm using app version 3.1.68 but I'm still getting an ESC error when I attempt to start the motors.

Delete the app on your phone and reinstall. Try disassembling the drone and check all the cables are intact.

I replaced all four motors. Everything looks good that I can see. I have 1/11/20 version fw in the aircraft and 1.6.9 for the controller. I would have bought a new drone by now but now I'm committed to getting it working. Is this a fw issue?

Hi there, I have just sent you a link to a firmware via PM, you may try to update it with your Phantom 3 Pro and test again to see if the ESC error will be fixed. Thank you.

Yes, this is the latest version for the controller, no worries.

I tried the upgrade and now my app says I’m using 1.5.30 aircraft FE. I’m really frustrated that I can’t clear the ESC Status Error.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear about the result. Just to double confirm, the update went through successfully, right? If the ESC error will not disappear, it could be the hardware issue. Since the service for Phantom 3 Pro suspended on January 5, 2023, we recommend that you replace the drone with a newer version. Announcement can be checked here.
Apologize again for the inconvenience, hope for your kind understanding.

Did you try factory resetting the esc or taking it out?

How can I tell if it went through successfully? It was updating for over 45 mins and the led was steady at the end so I checked with controller and it said I was using version 1.5.30 not 1.11.30

Thank you for providing further information, this is a very early firmware. Please try to format the SD card and try to update with the file I provided to you.
You can refer to the tutorial for the update process, you can also check the update result on the file in the SD card as the tutorial stated. Thank you.
