IMHO, Congress should be voting on a bill to support our drone industry by subsidizing manufacturers to build parts here. Taking away our access to the best made electronics doesn't help us.

My problem with 51 Drone's video is he is advocating visIt the Drone Advocacy Alliance to do some research and try to understand what is really happening and how it's going to hurt our country.  What he fails to realize is that the Drone Advocacy Alliance is sponsored by and its website maintained by DJI Technology, Inc.  How is that going to provided unbiased information?

Both the US Congress and US Senate reconvene on September 9th so that will be the earliest we will hear anything new of any type of DJI and Autel ban.

I hope the drones do not get banned. They are soooo good. Nobody can even come close to DJI. DJI is so far ahead in technology.

Yeah, great day so far.
I'm waiting for my favorite youtube channel (these days) to upload a video.
He is usually posting every Thursday, but was late (and posted about that).
Maybe you have seen him, 'cabin river outdoors'.
Canadian guy that builds a property somewhere deep in the BC forest.

I hadn't heard of him but after getting the link from you I checked his channel out.  Lots of interesting videos on there.

I like these remote cabin builds, but TBH, a lot of them turn out to be 'not so remote' as they have access to a lot of things and sometimes you can even see the civilization between the trees in some shots.
Not this one.
I'm not sure where he is located exactly (he conceals that for obvious reasons) but there is nothing close by, which is a big challenge on itself.
One of the few channels I really wait for to see the development.

I've only watched 2 of his videos so far but he does an impressive job of building.  For some of the sites to be so remote it makes the builds even more astonishing.

Skipping some of the talking parts, but I think I watch about 90%, which is a record for me.

I don't understand why people aren't asking where is a similar proposal to ban chinese made phones, which contain far more personal data....  There is clearly something (some company) driving this pointless ban....

People are afraid to bring that up as they don't want to have their Apple phones banned.  95% of all Apple phones are still made in China.

That was my point, albeit it poorly worded on my part!  Phones are chinese yet no one is asking for their phones to be banned, yet this crazy drone ban is gaining momentum with literally zero grounds and clearly far less risk to personal data....

I wholeheartedly agree with you.  Unfortunately, the momentum is so strong I'm not sure it has a chance of being stopped.
