I found this spot by chance on a quiet Sunday and decided to take advantage with my Avata2.

You found a great place to fly the Avata 2.  Seems you had great weather to fly and the whole parking lot to yourself.

This was a serendipitous find, I had been wondering if this area was open since it serves as a very busy commuter parking lot during the week.

Blériot, I was ecstatic to find this spot especially after all these years searching for another open space. I don't have too many spots like this. I decided to go today and just as I completed a lap, i see raindrops on the screen. Luckily, I had flown at another spot just before and made a short video, I will post that video in the Avata forum.

I did notice it was quite the large parking complex.  You chose the perfect time to go and fly.

I'm going to try to  get  there early on Sundays when it's empty again, a good spot to practice for sure.

Always best flying in FPV when there is nobody else around. Only because I find it a bit embarrassing talking to strangers when wearing goggles. lol

I've crashed my MA2 two years ago because of talkers who want to ask questions without consideration.
I purchased the T-shirt that reads "FAA Certified Pilot: Do Not Disturb" it works.

The time it takes to get everything charged and prepared, wait for the right weather conditions then do a preflight check to take off and have those ten precious minutes to yourself only for some grunt to ask how much it all costs or how fast it ca go is one of the most annoying things in the hobby.

Amen! in my early days, I was impatient going through the check list to get up in the air.

I learn't to give one or two-word responses with no emotion lol. Wearing goggles is also a great deterrent.

Massive deterrent - I've seen a number of people take a B line for me then change course when they see that I'm flying FPV
