Thanks very much! yes indeed ,i will try urban but it seems that it has to do with the cellular network congestion from some test i've made. We 'll see! thanks

I'm still trying to wrap my head round how this works, i get that the quad can now connect to the internet but how does a controller connected via hotspot to the internet actually speak to the drone, if anyone has a diagram or PDF with how it works i would be appreciative

Why should you know the technical side of this? Connect the controller to an AP(ie your phone), install dongle 2 with sim card having data,and fly. Why you need more detailed information? What will change if you know exactly the mechanism behind it(by the way ,if you are familiar with networking it is very simple)

For almost every Mini 4 Pro users out in the world, the very big majority must have eye contact with the drone when flying, at least if we should follow the laws and rules!

Can’t believe that we will have bad signal from RC2/RC-N2 to the drone without the 4G-dongles then…?

What have I missed here?

If you ask me ,there is literally no use, maybe only to test it and say "wow it works out of sight" and then come back and put it in your drawer. I never had issues especially with O4.

The cellular data connection between the RC > Phone or Phone HotSpot provides the connection to the Dongle 2 on the drone.  The RC control, telemetry, & the video feed pass over the cellular data link instead of the normal Occusync connection.  The connection switches automatically as needed, with priority given to the Occusync link.

The target is quite clear: they are customers that want to violate drone regulations, running BVLOS operations with a mini drone. All the typical (and legal) utilisation scenarios for a Mini 4 Pro or an Air 3 does not require any 4G dongle: when running in the VLOS it's impossible to lose the O4 signal.
