I have heard that RC controler can be charged by the battery, how does one do that? Maybe I read the comments incorrectly just want to see what is real

The Inspire 1 does ship with a simple cable that attaches between a battery's charging port and the charging port of the controller.  Just hook it up and push the battery's button, and it will use the flight battery to charge the controller.
