Ejecting battery is a standard feature of all DJI FPV drones.
I have experienced that with original FPV (spent 2h searching it in a corn field as battery rejected) also experienced it with Avata 1 and now expecting the same with Avata 2 which you just confirmed
It's much more funny to search your drone without battery as Find my drone of course is not working, of course not working Turtle mode etc.
I could recommend a thermo-camera as if batteries and drone are still HOT it makes searching a lot of easier
Happy searching everyone and flight safety
This is definitely user error, but even if you install it properly and you crash hard enough, you ideally want the battery to eject. Ejected battery = less kinetic energy in subsequent tumbles = less broken Avatas.

The Avata 2 implements the detection of battery errors, but it is not implemented properly as you can see in the OP's video because the clicked-out battery has not triggered any error messages and the drone was allowed to take off.
It gets worse than that!
Even a fully clicked-in battery can experience an error when the drone stops abruptly (e.g. after hitting the distance limit) yet the drone does not initiate the Return To Home (RTH) after detecting that error and its engines can continue to function for half a minute after that error appears. See the video in the thread below and notice the battery error displayed in its final moments: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... =317213&pid=3398414
Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Ensure the battery is securely locked into place. A loose fit can cause it to eject during flight or impact. I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!
