I needn't have, as it turned out. I was already higher than his mast, but with full zoom on the drone it looked dangerously close

I remember that feature on my old drones - think I used it once and it nearly crashed but in an open area like chasing boats it should be fine. I'm sure it's improved too since the Mavic 2's

Being over water is another anxiety - and it was very windy (well, it would be if the yachts are out, Duh!! )
I should have realised

Remarkable footage and great job on keeping those sailboats in frame Mr. B.    I see you and DAFlys both reference an Autumn morning.  I though Autumn did start until Sept. 22nd.  Did you guys decide to start early this year?

Wild winds here today, difficult to stay upright along the hills during today's walk.
Flying the drone was out of the question.

Sounds like one of those winds that you have to lean forward in to move forward.  Not too bad when it is at your back unless it tries to make you run.

It was in our faces most of the time, once we got out of the valleys. Quite tiring.

I looked at the specs. The maximum flight time is 18minutes. That's plenty for what I would use it for.

I also saw where that was the "published" flight time.  However, in the three videos I  watched they only got 8 minutes of actual flying time.  Just like any DJI drone - you can never achieve the maximum flight time that they publish.  Anyway, I'm sure you'll still enjoy the Neo.

It ships today and should arrive tomorrow via DHL.
I'll have some fun with it. I can't wait for the Mini5Pro - I've got my sights on a Mini4Pro before the end of the year.

Wow, you are going to get he Neo really fast.  

I'm looking forward to the Mini 5 Pro also but I've got to wait and see what the next 2-3 months brings from the vote on the CCP bill.  Who knows, I may just be down to flying one drone - my Skydio 2+.  I hope not, but things are once again not looking good for DJI.

Fun to watch. Sailing seems like too much work though.

It's not something I've ever tried. It's certainly as much a physical workout as anything else
