Turning off from the NC500, and passing through Midtown, Talmine and Portvasgo, and then venturing further along a quiet singletrack road your exploration is rewarded with the stunning vistas of Achininver and Midfield Beaches!
Beautiful views, quiet solitude, amazing colours - almost tropical in hue - and crystal clear water offer solace for the soul!
It was an extremely windy day when we visited, later in the afternoon at the end of August, but not overly cold, ideal weather to invigorate the senses!
So, take a few minutes and drink in the views, and perhaps one day we shall see you on the beach in the far north...

Definitely a shame about the winds. Unfortunately, from my visits to the northern tip of Scotland I found windy days to be the norm.
Yeah, a good reason for a bigger drone when we move up there methinks... Wonder how hubby would feel about an INSPIRE? Lol...

That would definitely handle the winds. A bit more of an investment for sure though.
