We had a lul in the rain yesterday and I did manage to fly the Mini 3,   but it was too busy and windy for the Avata.    Just as well as I could have easily dived a cliff and lost another one.

At least you were able to get the Mini 3 up for a flight, although it would have been really cool to dive the cliff if the winds weren't too high.

I seem to have become a bit risk adverse with the Avata,   Im going to be blame lack of practice lately due to the weather.

Can't blame you for being a bit risk adverse, especially on windy days or for lengthy flights over water.  You definitely don't want to lose another Avata 2.

Ive only had one short flight with the Avata on this trip but Ive carried it bloody miles.

It's a shame the weather has not been more cooperative to get the Avata 2 up for more flights.  It's a lot of gear to lug around and not be able to use.

I just lugged it up onto Bodmin Moor and flew around one of the old mines,   40mph gusts was a bit sketchy and my manual flying looked more like a drone playing at bumper cars,      I bottled the gaps,   no way I was going to manage them.

At 40 mph you were pushing the envelope for the Avata 2.
