So what i mean is the fly app is on my tablet so i will be using this with the new controller and drone so my thought is how do i get the fly app to think oh new drone need to load different software as this is the pro not the mini 4k ?
Or do i go through the normal open fly app bine the drone and controller and then it will appear with a choice of mini 4k or mini pro ? Thanks for your help.
The controller will arrive PAIRED to the drone, all that you are required to do is connect the tablet to the controller, boot the app on the tablet, switch on the controller and drone and the app should see the drone with out a problem.
"app bine the d" if by "bine" you mean "bind" then that is a different thing entirely and you should NOT mix up usage of the words "bind" and "pair". In the vocabulary of DJI drone they have different meanings.
"Bind" and its derivatives relate to a process REQUIRED for flyaway insurance to be valid.
I am uncertain if it is now REQUIRED for care fresh to be valid. It wasn't when care refresh was launched but I do not know if it is required now..
"Pair and its derivatives relate to the connection between the drone and controller that is used to control the drone.
For a separate screen device i.e. you tablet, and a mini 4k vs a mini 4 pro software changes ( to the App ) should not be required. Some models have minimum app version requirements but I suspect that there will be no difference.
Besides which the 4k is the newer model drone and if there were such a problem then the 4k would require the later version, the app versions are 'backwards compatible'.
