I just had my first simple flight with the controller and I was blown away. There was very little wind but it was amazing and so easy. I have the urge to buy another one lol. Video soon

I guess there is one advantage of the United States getting the Neo later than other countries. I can figure out whether to keep my pre-order or cancel it based on video samples from production units.

True but I have just had my first flight and set up. I have about 9 DJI Drones and I am blown away with it. I just ordered a second basic one for £169. I havn't even scratched the surface of what it can do and love it already. Happy days

Good to hear your initial thoughts are positive. Interested in hearing more about it and reading real reactions from the non-influencer crowd.

What was very interesting was that my test flight in a restricted zone only required me to accept a simple message rather than apply for an unlock code. Before every one gets out of their pram I only intended to and only flew at about 5 m high around our garden.

funny that when you said its not too loud you can hardly be heard saying that because of the noise from it
for the people that want to buy it, this is 2nd loudest dji drone, 1st being avata 1, theres a yt video on that

The camera recording the flight was nearer the drone than me in that video. I still maintain that it is quieter than I thought in real life. A ducted fan drone will never be as quiet as say a mini 3 or 4.

Don’t let this put you off it is such a fun little machine. More videos later today hopefully

Really nice unboxing BP.    I was waiting to see if you had to eat your hat over the cheap screwdriver working or not.  I always just toss the provided screwdriver in the bin and use my Wowstick 1F+ as the bit fits perfectly.

Interesting first flight BP.    I have to disagree just a bit with you as the Neo to my ears is quite loud.  Much, much louder than my Mini 3 Pro and Air 3.  

I agree that the sound is quite loud on the videos and Yes it is much louder than the Mini 3 or 4 but in real life it honestly is not that bad.

It will be a spare but I want also to see if I can get some interesting shots using both at the same time if indeed this is possible. These seem to me to be such a good Drone at such a low price I thought I would give it a try

I am pleased to say that Amazon have delivered my Second Neo which is the Drone only. For those that might not know here is how I set this up to fly with my Phone (ie No controller) This is a non sponsored video warts and all

I am having lots of fun with this little Neo. I have the DJI RC2 that I got with my Mini 4 Pro so decided to connect it to the Neo and have a flight with that controller. After a bit of fumbling around all worked well. Little video below of how to do it as ever warts and all.
