You jumped right on up there to December and the Winter Season quickly.  Speaking of that I just say this on the news.

The winter of 2024/2025 is shaping up to be one of the most challenging in recent years for the UK. With the likelihood of colder temperatures, increased snowfall, and heightened storm activity, it's advisable to prepare for a more severe winter season than usual.

Maybe all that firewood will come in handy.

I've done little else all weekend.

We went south to avoid the rain,  got a few short flights in around the myriad of NFZ,   then we reached the end of the trail we walked and there were big NO Drone signs up,  oh well.

National Trust so not really.    The real issue there is RAF Culdrose and Predannack.

They have almost star like NFZ as they have some many runways.   And overlapping ones that show that are NOTAM activated but they like to show them all the time which I think is a cheek.

It does seem like a blanket NFZ rather than selective - but I wouldn't like to argue the point.

It like they want to put people off who just glance at the map and dont read the summaries.

We haven't seen any on this trip yet,   perhaps the wind was too much,   I just flew the Avata around an old mine on the Moor and the wind was fighting me all the way,    I bottled flying through the gaps.

The Neo arrived in good time.
Activated, charged and updated  without issues.
Had to wait for a break in the rain to do a maiden flight.  t's dry now but a bit too windy for such a lightweight drone.
And it won't take off from my palm as I shake too much

It will be fine using the controller - and I've got that.
I shall have to find an eye level stable spot to launch it from, otherwise.

Yes it lands on my palm OK.  It just won't take off cos I move too much.

Wow, I didn't know you had any work left to do on the wood.  I guess I thought you had already split and stacked it.  That will definitely keep you busy for a while then.

I did half before the vacation,     moved the other half to where it will be stored but I ran out of time and weather to split it,   good think (ish) is this is all pre seasoned so can be used as soon as its split.

Yes, being pre-seasoned is a huge benefit.
