It seems that I am not having to unlock Geo zones with the little Neo. I am only flying it low in my Garden below head height so no issues. I am only having to accept a simple message about an enhanced zone. This makes total sense given the size of the Drone etc. I am wondering if others are finding the same

DJI removed almost all the geozones from the UK some months ago,   now even airports can be unlocked by just checking the box,   

Mine just arrived. I'll report back later. Hope the rain stops.

Ah that is useful to know so might be a time to up date the fly safe data base. Why did they do it do you know ?

EASA and the CAA told them they had to provide them with a way to supply the geozone data and it wasnt for DJI to do it,   so they dropped the majority of the NFZs. (prisons etc are still there I think) and of course EASA/CAA aren't ready yet to provide the XML file for us to import into our drones.

Not yet.  I ordered within 2 minutes of the 9/05 release but the ship date for my order says 10/06/24.  All the Neo joy is on your side of the pond for now.

I got a brief window weather yesterday afternoon and managed to verify the follow function and video quality. Not bad at all.  Today, windy and rainy. Further tests postponed.

I flew the Mini 4 Pro at mine today and Yeah no Geo Restriction in the App I am very pleased

Shame about the weather but at least you got an initial test flight in and tried out a couple of features.  No doubt it will be a great little drone for what is was designed to do.

I can commiserate with you.  It rained here Monday and Tuesday.  Rest of the week calls for 85 - 100% rain so it's going to be a very wet week here.  Keeping the brolly handy.

The video showed that the Neo is a very capable mini-drone.  I was really impressed with it's performance.  I wasn't sure how the stair climb would go but I was pleasantly surprised.

Positive of "delay" will be plenty of time to hopefully get answers to my clueless state.  Will need to download the manual and see if we can activate and update firmware directly to the Goggle3 with the USB-C OTG cable like the Avata2.  Guessing not based on the Neo designed to be used without goggle, Tx.

Hope is this little quad will be a fun backyard and indoors FPV flier. Looks to be relatively durable in addition to inexpensive for a digital camera micro fpv platform.  I really did not like the analog micro fpv it is replacing. Higher quality fpv image, option to flick a switch from M to N or hold when things go really bad. All for under $200.  Maybe not a freestyle capable quad, but should still be fun close proximity, tight quarters fpv flying.

This for me is so far its best feature also give a very relaxed way to practice with a much lighter drone before you go ripping an Avata about. My avata is still in the box as to be honest I bought it and was then a little scared. This little Neo was straight out of the box and being used immediately. Love this little drone

Crash and trashing the Neo will result in less tears than the Avata2.  Have had couple hard Avata2 crashes. It is more robust than expected. Only damage has been one propeller. The Neo is lighter than the micro quad that it replaces (lost it yesterday).  That quad took a few hits and bounces without any real damage (propellers broke).  The plus for these real lightweight and a bit underpowered quads. Like the Avata2 the option to switch from M to N or hold will allow a few more saves  where others end up crashing.
