They have about 15 restaurants that serve food and entertainment for $25.00. Not bad for a day out.

Thats a good turn out.  

Remarkable capture Charles.    I'd say based on the lines that was a really good turn out.  

Interesting names on some of those restaurants.

Yes and this was a fraction of the normal turnout. It hasn't been the same lately. I think the cost of prepared food is out of hand.

I think restaurants and other stores also are starting to figure out that they are hurting there business with all the recent price increases.  Better to raise it a little and shoot for quantity sales than jack the price up and just get a few sales.  Wasn't that the old supply and demand theory?

Prime example is what is happening in California's restaurants.  The new minimum wage couple with menu item price increases caused the closure of many restaurants and a couple of chains.  The demand just dropped off the charts.  People didn't want to pay exorbitant prices for fast food.

My description is it's like getting punched in the face when you order in a restaurant todayI feel like it's an assault.

Just another reason why I try to prepare all my own food and only eat out when absolutely necessary.  when the grandkids were over for our waterskiing outing they wanted something quick so we ordered a pizza online and paid for it online.  20 minutes later I went in and picked it up.  The guy behind the counter handed me the box and then left his hand extended outward for a tip. I asked him what service did he provide and he said I handed you your box.  So then I asked him what he expected for doing a part of his job that he was already paid to do.  He said I'm only paid to make the pizza.  I said are you paid for customer service and he said yes.  So gain I asked him what service he provided above and beyond what he was already paid to do so that I could tip him accordingly.  He was lost for words.  His Manager walked over and asked if there was a problem.  I told him I tipped based on the quality of services provided and that handing me a box of pizza was not a real service that deserved tipping.  He just said sorry as most people still tip us $2-3 more for just handing them the box.  So I tipped him $2 and when I got home I filed a complaint withe Better Business Bureau because nowhere on their website and no where in the store said that tipping was required.  Seems others were not happy as that Pizza place already had 22 complaints about tips.  I also went to the corporate website and sent them a I'm concerned about this type of practice.  Then I gave them a negative write-up on Yelp and Google.   I guess I better avoid getting pizza from that place again as who knows what they will do to my pizza next time.

I don't tip people unless they are delivering. If I ask for something special maybe but not pizza.

I feel the same way.  Sorry about the long saga explaining the tipping issue.  I'll get off my soap box now.

There is a tip jar in every fast food place. Everyone wants more than they are currently making but are willing to to nothing additional. (entitlement)

People with a sense of entitlement feel that they deserve more than what they have in life. Regardless of what they have, they always believe that they deserve more. They expect to elevate their lifestyle above that of others without putting in the effort needed to do so.

You hit the nail on the head. That is exactly the mentality. Gaining luxurious lifestyle through mediocrity. It doesn't exist.

We do it to promote business. We have a Restaurant crawl . They give  in exchange for a ticket and you get to try up to 25 different restaurants. We have some entertainment and bouncy houses for the kids and it gets the community together. It's a nice time . This weekend we have a car show that I am supposed to fly.

That sounds good indeed.
We sometimes have food markets, they get busy. The local restaurants also have their stands.

We create merchant associations and they come up with different ways to bring business and community together.  We do a Halloween party with pumpkin painting and costume contests. The merchants give out candy to the kids.
