Hello everyone,

I’m seeking information about DJI Air 2s official IP rating.

Could someone confirm whether the DJI Air 2S is waterproof or splashproof? Does the manufacturer claim any IP rating for this model?

I’ve attached a photo of the camera module from DJI Air 2S drone. It shows signs of sea water exposure on camera board and CCD sensor. Is the device repairable, and what steps would you recommend?

Thank you in advance.

Nope, it is neither waterproof nor splash proof. These drones are not meant to fly underwater or in the rain. For that, get a splash drone.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, DJI Air 2s do not have an IP rating and they are neither waterproof nor dustproof.  In a situation like this, the best course of action would be to submit an online repair request here:  {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. If you need assistance with creating a ticket, you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support. In addition, warranty service can be claimed depending on the result of the Damage Assessment.

Your kind understanding is appreciated and thank you for your continued support.

If that is salt water damage the board should be considered scrap, there are so many diffeing metals involved in the construction of these sdrones that salt water will set up electolytic cells between various metals.
I have a wrceked mavic 2 that was recovered from the sea and even the ribbon cables had been attacked and delaminated.
Some of the lightweight metals were reduces to something resembling slush.

Thank you for your reply. Based on the damage shown in the attached picture, would DJI repair the camera module, or would the entire module need to be replaced? Also, is the board recoverable, or not?
