I wanted to try drone flying and I'm excited about the dji mini 4 Pro. Now the question is would you be the 4th. Buy version now or go to the 5th Generation, since the 4th was already presented a year ago.

I know you can't look into the future;), but an assessment would be nice. Dji mini 4 Pro or Dji mini 5 Pro (unknowing release)?

There's probably the american war against china slowing everything down. DJI sort of has no competition, so why not milk the 4 for as long as possible?

They've really run out of tricks to put in the 5. It might be defeatured, to comply with fascist laws.

I'm kind of stuck with the 3 pro because there were no EOFY discounts, and there's not really enough difference. Like the 4 has waypoints, but I'm not going to do anything real with it.

You could get a mini 3, and then there will be reason to upgrade to the 5
Edit: next discount cycle is Black Friday in November. It will be clearer by then.

I bought the dji mini 4 Pro for 620€ 2 Hours ago. I think it’s a good deal, right?

We have no idea when or if a Mini 5 will be released.  The Mini 4 Pro is so good that it will continue to be a capable drone for the foreseeable future.  I like it enough to have just purchased a second unit for some multi-drone missions.

I think, like you, that it is highly unlikely that DJI will release the Mini 5 Pro soon. I'm sure that it will follow only a few months after the appearance of the new Air 3S, otherwise it would be a big marketing error of DJI.

Mini 3 Pro is also a very good drone, but Mini 4 Pro has much better communication and the presence of 360 sensors allows me to fly more confidently. There is no difference in video quality)

There will always be a new model in the wind, if you wait for a mini 5 then the mini 6 is probably at least in R&D phase etc etc. as infinitum.

Unfortunately had my first whoops. Sent in my mini 4 pro for care refresh Money and it will be delivered tomorrow. Any one have any idea how long before it's returned?

Mini 4 Pro is an outstanding drone!! There are no reasons NOT to get one.

I upgraded from a Mini2 to a Mini4.   Why?  Well - - - in hindsight; the biggest things are "improved range" and "RC2 controller".  And (Let's be honest) - - -the mounted landing Light on the bottom of the Mini4 is simply awesome when flying in "sketchy light" conditions. Of all the wiz-bang upgrades from the MIni2, the top three are "cruise control", "Bottom landing light", and the RC2 controller.

Will I get a mini5? Depends upon the upgrades.  Honestly. . . . . the Mini4 does everything I need it to do (Fly a few miles and take photos). A real potential game changer would be improved goggles integration. I do use the Goggles 3 and motion3. . .and while it opens new opportunities. . .there are obvious flaws in the implementation.

The Mini4 does LOTS of things REALLY WELL.  IT's a good sweet spot for a 250g drone.

I don't see what DJI can add to mini4pro to make 5pro.... For me hardware wise mini 4pro is complete. A lot of unsolved software problems, but hardware is fine, I don't see anything missing for a sub 250gr drone. When one wants more, than the Airs and the Mavics are waiting, for a sub 250gr pocketable drone mini 4pro is complete: Satisfactory camera, 360 OA, cruise control, waypoints

Maybe the new Lidar sensor from the air 3S. But Idk how much this thing weights obviously so maybe it’s to heavy

agreed here, mn4p is enough for me, if sdks are added I'll get the mn5p tho

Answer is simple as always:
If You do not need a drone NOW and can wait, then wait for Mini 5 Pro. If You want to fly now, then get Mini 4 Pro.

I bought the Mini 4 Pro about a month ago, and I love it. Realistically the Mini 5 Pro can't be much more than an incremental upgrade.

I can't get DJI Fly on my Android phone. I go to the DJI download page, push download, and all I get is download pending. What an I doing wrong?

Hey guys. I’ve just received my brand new DJI mini 4 pro. I’ve set everything up as instructed. Then I charged everything up and when I came to power it all up I have a no display on my controller, the green lights are on bit the screen is totally blank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
