I have noticed that audio files are slightly shorter than video files.  This still occurs with the recent firmware update.
In the image below, made from a Final Cut Pro screen grab, note the gaps in the audio files.  However, with the tail ends of the files aligned the voice and image are in perfect sync.  My guess is there is a delay issue for audio when the recording is started.
On the brighter side, I am impressed by how well the prop noise is filtered out in the audio.

Try downloading the files via DJI Fly and see if that combines them properly. Also it appears that DJI Fly will merge audio into video if you simply watch the video in the album? I have not yet properly tested this, but I noticed some of my video files that I got via usb already had audio built-in and I think it's those that I watched in the app after shooting them.

Downloading to a phone is a terrible workflow.  I would fill the phone's memory in a very short time.  It is much simpler to plug a USB-C cable into the drone and laptop and copy the files to an external 2 Terabyte SSD.  I have filled one SSD with video from this year alone and have many disks containing drone video going back 12 years.

Referring to the picture it seems you were using mobile DJI Fly App for voice recording. May I know the mobile device you are using to check the compatibility of Bluetooth device. Audio capture compatibility issues may occur when using some Bluetooth earphones with some of the smartphone operating systems.

I don’t know if this is the same issue, but there is a clear audio delay when playing back audio in the DJI Fly app when I record audio using my iPhone 14 Pro Max.  I haven’t yet put everything into iMovie, or saved the original video/audio but the preview clearly has audio delay.  So much so, it’s kind of a deal breaker to use the audio with such a bad delay.
Is this normal?  I just got my Neo, but I’m worried about the audio function now.  I never had an issue like this with my Mavic Pro 1st gen.

I got my Neo a few days ago, made my first tests today and experienced about 3-5 sec delay in audio.
My settings were 1080p60 , audio record by app, in neutral mode . Phone I used was a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 pro, Miui  14.0.5.

The idea for Neo was for me to use as a "minimalist vlog tool" to make quick selfie videos with voice, with no need of any after production work.
With such audio delay it is pretty disappointing.
I would be happy to share video file I downloaded via the DJI fly app, but how to do that?

My other surprise was that in follow mode, if I go closer to the Neo, it isn't reversing but I could even touch the drone with my nose

Edit >> just was surprised to find, that if I launch the downloaded video from"album" with lin Fly app, then audio in about 2-3 seconds delay.
Same time, if I launch the same downloaded video from "gallery" of my Xiaomi, than the delay us just  0,1 second (still can be seen,but no so bad).
So it must be some codec problem within the Fly.

It's the same with me. No full synchronization of video and audio in automatic modes. It's frustrating.

Admins! Don't ask me to upload files. Take my word for it. I'm not the only one with this problem. And if more than one person has it, then it's real. Tell your engineers to finalize and fix the synchronization of video and audio in automatic modes.

There must be somekind of codec problem, as the MP4  plays in different ways on different platforms. If you play it within the Fly App (after downloading from Neo to android phone) than the delay is 4-5 second (tragic). If you play the same with Xiaomi built in Video player app,the delay is less (about 0,5-1sec) , same file in YouCut Video editor app ...opened for editing >> again the 4-5 sec delay.  Funny but if uploaded the MP4 to Facebook (means that FB will convert down to 720p lower size, lower quality) the delay is nearly gone...., but in exchange the audio is blurry some places overdriven torsion...
Since my previous comment I made some more tests, with 3 different microphones (BT with built in noise reduction, a second BT non filtered, "as it is" simple mic, and a wired one).
The results > delay is the same, so it is not microphone related.

In my tests it wasn't matter what kind of microphone,or even what settings I used. On 4K, on 1080/30 or 1080/60 the result was the same as described above. So it must be audio codec problem when coding the MP4 file.

Btw: as I understand, the visual source is recorded direct in NEO  the audio is arriving via WiFi from Android phone with Fly app, and getting recorded into the MP4 also within NEO.
So the basic delay what we have as best result, what is around 0.5 sec I think is the gap made by WiFi delay. It could be easily corrected at coding MP4 with giving same delay to video.

Anyway.
NEO is sold as "vlogger" tool. In my understanding it means one can record visual and audio together with this "flying mini camera" and upload/use if needed without  sutting to pC and doing studio editing. If all NEO videos I make with talking to audience I must edit to get audio sync to visual than NEO is useless.
So please... Do something.
