Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Kindly take note that using third party accessories are not advisable as they may not be fully compatible with DJI's proprietary technology and software, leading to performance issues, malfunctions, or even damage to the drone or accessory.

Also, kindly take note that if any damages caused by the third party accessory, you may not be eligible to use your warranty nd it can lead for warranty voidance.

Thank you for your understanding.

"Props in, Props out"?
Maybe go with Clockwise and Counterclockwise?

That description would not work for the manner in which Steve was simplifying the props as, on each side, one prop rotates clockwise while the other rotates counterclockwise.  His "props in" or "props out" description correctly points out that both props are either rotating "in" towards the front of the aircraft or "out" away from the aircraft.

Based on the "objective" results. Bit inconclusive that these aftermarket propellers improve performance or noise level.  The subjective comments are just that. Thought the price point of the stock propellers were overpriced relative to other  quality propellers( HQ, Gemfan....). These at ~$14usd make the stock a good value based on this video data.  But at least the mounting holes match the DJI pattern and dimensions .  Have a handful of identical spec to the DJI propeller GemFans that are used on another quad.  IIRC,~$3/set of 4. But the screw holes are a fraction of a mm off in spacing.

Cough cough! Well, I always have to admit that I have doubts, but for the price, I'll give it a try.

I've already given it some thought

Is your propeller product very good? In relation to all drones.

Now my question is, will DJI make better ones?

Because they are only just good and you still have to build them yourself to make them perfect!?!

Thanks 4 wait, and thanks 4 new Neo Proppelers

Yes got them yesterday from Amazon and it was half the price compared to importing them from US.So tried the baby blue props this morning and noticed some improvements when flying compared to the stock screws.
  • Smother flight.
  • Sharper turns
  • More power
  • Less prop wash when descending fast
  • Less noice and a smoother sound not as harsh
  • Longer flight time

Both the props and the bolts feels like really high quality. Yes the are not screws but bolts and they come dipped in some blue Loctite.

Interesting.

sound did not seem that much different on the video of captain drone.

maybe i'll give them a go.
On the avata 1 i had them, and they made the avata 1 fly much better and sound MUCH better.

Master Airscrews have always been the best... I have these on both of my Avatas 1 and 2.
On Avata 1, they are a different tone and I could reach speeds of upto 98kmph on the 3 blade ones, while on stock I could do only 85.

On the Av2, they are more snappier and seem less propwash. These are definitely more authoritative than the stock ones.

Received an email  from Lazar at MasterAirScrews today.  Plan is to release these propellers in Orange in late October.
Have crashed or unplanned landing (Low Battery) on two occasions where finding the quad was a bit of effort.  Even with the Find My Drone feature and ESC beeper.  Landed in wooded or deep grassy area. Any aid such as blaze orange propellers would help.  Less prop wash and any improvement in flight times will be  a plus.  Also, sort of match the A2's orange trim.
, link to an old video from RCModelReview regarding "Why Mult blade Props".  Pros and cons depending on use and needs. IRRC, the presenter is from New Zealand.  Was a source I respected back in those days.

Prior to posting #25 video I rewatched the ~8y/o YTube program.  Couple points made regarding going from 3 to 4 blades.  Assuming the blades are same size(length and surface area) and pitch. The added surface area of the 4th blade at a given rpm would generate more thrust, but at a cost.  More demand on the ESC for more  watts.  Which makes sense. You cannot create more power from nothing.  The added stress on the motors.  4th prop blade adds one more tip creating tip turbulence.

Assuming MasterScrew has designed these propellers to maximize efficiency to generate the more responsiveness and improved flight times. So far, based on the #2 post video and comments such as "bit", "seems" it looks to be just a subtle improvement.  Any improvement in performance is good. Wonder if these design elements also minimize motor stress. Have yet to ever wear out a brushless motor on a quad or fixed wing platform due to normal use.   Will probably try a set when the orange color propellers come out.  Worst case. Just a subtle improvement and easier to spot a downed Avata2.

OT:  Same presenter of post #25 video has an interesting video on the maybe possible cause or causes  the original Avata exhibits such poor high speed flat yaw washout.

The sound is softer and the drone is snappier in Acro mode.

Without DJI calibration in the AVATAR 2, it crashes with the propellers. THANKS, let's make it bigger, OK!

Ordered sets of the Orange colored propellers. Worst case.  They are not a significant improvement in performance, but aid spotting a downed Avata2.

Didn't realize until I went to their webpage the long history of the company. Also the R&D and manufacturing is based in the USA. No issues with paying a premium price. Not some "overnight" company contracting to a mass manufacturing facility to produce an accessory for a "popular, trending...." product.
For those Avata2 fliers that also fly the Neo. Received an email from MasterAirscrew. In the process of developing and releasing a Neo model.

Orange MasterAirscrew scheduled for delivery today.  Rain forecasted most days for the next week.  Not complaining. We were at drought D2/3 level a week ago and at high risk for forest fires.  Might just do an indoors hover test to check the noise level using just a smart phone app. It measures average, current, max dB and frequency.  Personally the noise level is low on the list.  It will be interesting to see what the flight times are now that the air temps are Autumn cool (0-10C).  If equal or better than summer temps (20-30C) I will be happy.  Worst case. Visual spotting aid for finding a downed Avata2.

Not the best, very unscientific sound test results. Only one test sample taken indoors in relatively quiet room for each brand of propellers.  Background noise lever was  ~30dB .  Launched in N mode.  Activated Brake at ~1.5 meters above a hardwood floor.

Subjective, no real difference in sound volume and slight frequency difference. But I'm deaf in one ear.  Looked at the data from the smart app sound meter.  The MasterAirscrew "stealth" propellers had a slightly louder average, but slightly lower max  and similar minimum dB reading.  Frequency of sound was slightly higher.  Weight of each propeller was 2.2gram v. stock at 1.7gm.

Maybe at higher motor rpm there might be a noticeable difference.  But for just hovering based on the sound meter app and what has been posted above.  No real difference in sound volume.

Rainy, cool, and a bit of wind today.  No outdoors subjective testing regarding "feel" or flight times.

For what it's worth.  JMHO, aesthetically the MAS orange color props are nice.  Just  realized the orange also matches the orange print on the Spektrum DX9i lanyard I've recycled for use with the FPV RC3.  Sure hope there is an improvement in flight time.  Responsiveness?  Suspecting maybe not with the additional ~30% mass of each propeller.  Thrust at a given rpm on paper should be better given almost identical propeller blade dimensions and now you have the added surface of a 4th blade.  Why my hope for a little bit improved flight times.

Yesterday a session flying the Avata2 with the Orange MasterAirscrew propellers.  Real subjective impressions. Bit gusty winds at ground level, cooler air temps (7-8C).  No side by side noise level comparison and I'm deaf in one ear.  Didn't notice any difference while hovering a couple meters away.  Maybe a bit less due to frequency pitch. "Stealth" is probably the wrong description printed on the packaging.  Kept the unused batteries in a pocket next to the torso to keep them warmer. Flight times were similar in S and a mix of N,S, and M mode flying.  If there was a difference in response.  Someone of Luke Bannister skill level may notice. I'm not a good enough flier to notice.

I got a 10 millimeter crack near the hub in one  of the blades after a crash. Repaired it with superglue and wetsanded the seam finishing of with 2000 grit. Seems ok after I did 40 powerloops  during a flight the blade is still attached.
