Cheers DT,   it did break through and we got up to 23c yesterday,  perfect to finish splitting al that wood and stacking it.   I then went out for a celebration flight and boy was it windy.

Good weather then to finish off the wood.  Shame that the winds were so strong when it came to flying time.

Yes,  it's a releif,  that puts me 12 skip bags aka 1 ton bags over my usual storage area and overspill,   the bags are filled to about a 1/4 piled on top too,       the place the MIL buys her wood from charges £150 a bag,  so Im doing OK.

Wow, you're doing great.  It's great that you have such good sources for free wood.  Still a lot of prep work on your part but no doubt worth the effort.

Great piece of mind knowing you're well prepared for the colds of winter.  Unfortunately winter will arrive sooner than expected, especially if the long range weather forecasts for the UK hold true.

We're looking at heading back north for the middle of next month so we hope that holds off a bit longer,   now that I have the dates for the art gallery my work will be in and the venue dates for the art trail that ive been accepted for we can book something,   prior to that I didnt know when we needed to be here to setup etc.

Thanks, ive spoken to he venue,   an architecture place in Hadleigh Highstreet,  opposite the church and agreed to pop in on Monday to measure up so we know where things can go.   Exciting.


Ive also just been invited to the awards ceremony to another competition Im shortlisted in,    but as its a 6+ hour drive I think I'll just watch the live stream,    they judged it this week but the winners are under embargo until the 20th November.  

looks like a good break in the sky.

I ended up spending half of Sunday framing prints,   and then SWMBOd decided that the dinner ware I bought requires the cupboards to be rearranged and she wanted new shelves,   so that was a trip to the hardware store for some wood and then some careful cutting and she has a new layout.   Not a bad use of a rainy day when I cant fly,      looks like a week of rain here too.

Sadly they didnt leave here,    more heavy rain over night,    lots of roads with flooding,  although the storm drains I reported as having the grates stolen got covered with cones which has stopped them working.

Sounds damp and miserable. Grey here after thrashing rain overnight.  I might try a flight later, before we set off on our next visit.

And humid,  dont forget humid.     I just hope that all the rain hasn't spoilt the sunflowers that have opened around the castle.  I would like to have got a shot of that.

Sounds as if you had a busy Sunday.  SWMBO would not like living on a boat as everything is built in and it would be almost impossible to reconfigure anything.

Now if you have a mini-yacht built you can have a huge saying with respect to interior design and layout.  Mine was custom built but the man that was having it built was killed in a car wreck two weeks before it was ready for delivery.  When I visited the boat yard the owner of the boat yard told me the story and he contacted the family and they said they didn't want it.  So the boat yard owner made me a really good deal on it.  So I had no say on layout or anything but I'm really happy with it as is.  Because the person that was having it built paid down a considerable amount and the contract stated it was a good faith deposit so his family got none of it back.  That guy was worth close to a billion dollars so the deposit was just chump change to him.

PS,.   The wild campers have been reported to the EH,   they weren't aware of them apparantly,  asked if I had photos but Ive not sent them any, as they are all drone shots.

I'm following a couple that are having a yacht built for them,  and they will have probably spent as long on the design stage as the build stage,   almost everything was customisable.

They must have a really good company building their yacht for them to be so patient with the customer in the design phase.  Could also be they are also seeing a  huge profit in this build.
