Hi to all, tried to upload to PC via cord- change 2 cords and 2 notebooks - nothing(( QuickTransfer by WiFi is OK but I need cable upload- )) PC simply not seen any external source - but lamps on drone is on.. what can be wrong??

Contacted that International support - SO USELESS!!!! Never in their ads see that you need special App or programm for transfer data from NEO to your PC!!! but it is and its not work at all on my 4 computers different models and versions of MS 0 how its is guys??? I m not use and not will use Mac - why I should feeling as second grade user??

Plug and play for me as well.
Once you have plugged the drone, go to device manager and see if any mass storage device shows up there. Then try to update the driver.

There are most probably thousand of tutorial on internet for such case.

No- its not- after conversation with Intl support they declared that I need to install Assistant- but its not help- I think its smth with hardware and for me its not good(( perhaps will send back to shop

Windows 10 and 11 PCs see the Neo as "Healthy Raw Primary Partition" and try to talk me into formatting it which we all know would wipe the contents. I don't know if the problem is DJI, Microsoft or our useful idiots in Congress.  How 'bout some help, DJI?

I had the same problem under Win 10.

Only format the Storage new with exfat and PC will rekognize the DJI Neo.

Still no explanation. However, formatting the storage did resolve the issue. Very suspicious that MacOS mounted the exFat filesystem just fine but none of my Windows systems could. I regret not doing a deeper examination of the filesystem using Linux prior to formatting it.

Today, after capturing two short videos, I'm once again unable to mount Neo's exFat filesystem in either Win10 or Win11 using multiple USB-C cables all verified good. And, once again, iPadOS and Mac are able to work with the files just fine.

Basic charging cable is NOT the problem. It would not show that storage is available, but requires formatting (i.e., destruction of all files contained in said storage).

This problem continues. I have repeatedly had to use a Mac to offload files and reformat internal storage. I now have latest firmware 01.00.0400 Once I write new photo/video files to Neo, Windows will not see the storage again. Does not matter whether drone is powered on or off. Only the Mac and iPad can access the internal storage. Same for Windows 11 laptop. This is extremely inconvenient as using the Mac is not part of my workflow at all and moving these files around via our NAS is a royal PITA.
It seems I can duplicate this problem at will now. The first time I use the drone after formatting, Windows will access the storage. However, once I've removed it after the first use, it will not connect again.

Very aggravating.

I was able to run "first aid" on the internal storage using the Mac's Disk Utility. It reported that the volume name was too long. It now shows up in Mac as "Untitled"  rather than "Internal Storage" but the repaired file system is now readable by Windows without having to reformat. Still really sucks that I'll have to bring along the Macbook for every job I use the Neo on simply to solve this nonsense problem.

My workstation is on Win10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.5011
Laptop is Win 11 Home 23H2 build 22631.4317

Whatever the Mac did to "repair" the Neo's internal strorage seems to have worked. I can now connect on Windows repeatedly. I'm suggesting that the Neo's firmware routine for formatting the storage is causing the problem and it's related to the 'Volume name too long' reported by Mac's Disk utility. So now all you Windows users go buy the new M4 Mac Mini so you can deal with this!

Damn I am having the exact same problem but mine is even worst.. I bought the DJI Neo and DJI Avata 2.. I have used a laptop and desktop with 4 different C-USB cables and nothing comes up within the Disk Manager / Device Manager.. nothing within the Portable Devices detected.. what kind of nonsese is this.. what kind of cable do I need to buy in order to plug these drones to my desktgop (Windows 10 Home 22H2 19045.4291)... im getting tired of trying and I just bought them 2 days ago, I tried all the USB ports on both Laptop and Desktop but nothing works, I dont have a Mac so pretty much Im screwed lol  do I really have to return these 2 drones to the store?

Edit: Someone here said that it has to be a USB C Data cable, meaning my desktop needs to have a USB C port but mine doesnt have one, also my laptop doesnt so do I have to buy USB-C to USB adapter?

Damn I saw some videos on youtube doing the export and they used a basic USB-C to USB to plug the drone to the regular USB port and it worked, so I am pretty much confused, also the manual has the same explanation but can someone clarify if I need the adapter for real lol?


EDIT 2: SOLVED......................... So I bought a USB-C - USB adapter at the store... Tested it with the Avata 2 USB C - USB C cable to the USB C - USB Adapter and guess what? it WORKED.... so indeed it will only work if you use a DATA cable (USB C) so indeed your Desktop needs a USB-C Port in order to Import the data.. if yours doesn't have one then buy a USB-C - USB Adapter, plug it to your Desktop computer then connect the USB-C to your Drone and the other side to the adapter..   

Saddly the Videos I saw on YouTube from the DJI Neo and DJI Avata 2 doesn't explains this.. and according to some YT videos.. is possible in some cases that it will work with a USB-C - USB cable which is not a DATA cable.. So anyways for those who are having the same issue with a Desktop (Windows) computer then buy a USB-C to USB adapter and you will be fine lol
