I just ordered the OA5 for livestreaming purposes. i Bought the OA4 less than a month ago to change my setup up a little but got a bit dissapointed that it only allows 30fps streaming to RTMP ? Why don't we allow 60 fps or even 50fps for UVC and for RTMP streaming ? seems like a easy fix and something that should be done as quickly as possible to take over the livestreaming market. The hero 13 does 60 fps on rtmp, why don't dji ?

I know loads of people that would purchase this camera by instant if that got solved in a firmware update, to be able to choose the framerate instead of just the resolution. Even pushing the bitrate to 12mbps would be beneficial and easy to do.

Yes, when Osmo Action 5 Pro is in Photo mode, "M" indicates that photos to be captured are 4K photos, while "L" means that photos to be captured are 8K photos.

The specific resolutions for 4K and 8K are as follows:
4K 4:3   3648*2736
4K 16:9  4000*2256
8K 4:3    7296*5472
8K 16:9  8000*4512

No transcoder on the downloads yet been looking for it myself

Thank you for reaching out. At the moment only H.265 can be transcoded to H.264 using third-party format conversion software (For example, Format Factory), however, the quality of the transcoded video may be affected.

There is noting in usermanual and in spec sheet about RESOLUTION and FRAMERATE available in WEBCAM MODE.

Request: ability to lower (or shut off) the HDR effect, or FW update to improve HDR IQ issue: I´ve seen multiple examples of image quality on the Pro 5 where the HDR is too aggressive, creating halos around contrasty surfaces. In some instances, anything against a bright sky almost looks like it has a glow around it. This is not the case with the Action 4. The difference is quite notable.

Howdy!  I received my osmo action 5pro today and super excited!  When used via UVC webcam mode or RTMP, can we somehow use 60fps?  I have been having problems getting the audio from the camera microphone when used in webcam mode with OBS.  Is there a way to get audio as well video via webcam mode?  How do I get 60fps via webcam or streaming rtmp?  RTMP quality bitrate seems lower than the defaults for my action 4 (not pro).  What does the PRO mean?  The sensor?

This needs to be addressed ASAP. There should be an option to max out the bit rate. You can add a warning that it results in decrease in battery and bet most people will take the trade-off.

May I know the device model you are using to update DJI Mimo App. Generally, devices not listed as supported mobile devices can also be used if their system versions are the same or later than those published on the DJI official website (Beta system versions may not be compatible), but their stabilization has not yet been verified. Thank you kindly.  The action5pro currently does not transmit audio over UVC (webcam mode) so I do not believe uploading a video with no audio will help.  Let’s just keep it simple with that feature.  No microphone audio is available in webcam mode.  Please forward this information to the relevant team and let them know.  Audio is not working at all with the oap5 in webcam mode.

I have tested this on MacOS, Windows10, and Ubuntu Linux 24.04 and there is no audio input source from the camera available using UVC/Webcam mode.  This is not good.  Let's get audio fixed over webcam/UVC, DJI.  Don't fumble the bag.
edit: pocket3 and action4 work with audio input on all operating systems tested.  So it is a problem with the new DJI Osmo Action5Pro camera.

It seems webcam mode has not been tested before product release.

I can also confirm the action5 does not output audio in webcam(USB/uvc) mode. needs a fix quickly, the camera is useless without this ability. both the action4 and the pocket3 have functional audio in this mode. thanks.

Action 5 when charging and connected to Windows 11 PC causes the pc to make the reconnect and disconnect USB sounds.  Using the same cable the action 3, insta 360 ace pro, hero 10 and Pocket 2 work fine

RTMP and UVC both have massive issues that are not good and need urgent attention

I know it has been requested before BUT PLEASE just PLEASE allow 60 FPS RTMP to be transmitted. Having 60 FPS on Webcam mode would also be amazing, as well as making sure that you can select the Resolution in Webcam mode.

I would appreciate it a lot if a change like this could be released soon

The osmo action 5 pro has washed colors (worst colors than OA4) in light areas, conditions. The grass, the leaves, the clouds e.tc. have washed colors. In low light is much better than the OA4. Need an improvement the quality of the pictures. The higher resolution means nothing, when the quality of the scenes lacks of natural colors

Instead of using IPhone to activate Action 5, can I use an Ipad Air (Gen 5) with iOS 18 to do it?

Is anyone having an issue reading mSD cards recorded on in an Action 5 Pro? I have 5 of these and all 5 have the same issue. The card reads fine in camera, and when connecting the camera to a computer I can read the card fine.
However, when removing the card from the camera, it cannot be read in a computer. I have tried multiple card readers and multiple computers, and all have the same issue. The cards do not exhibit this problem when used in any other camera (e.g. Pocket Osmo, GoPro). It looks like the formatting used in a camera cannot be read back on a computer for some reason. I'm trying them on M1/M2 Macs.
