I was excited to see today's release of the Osmo Action 5 Pro, but I have to say I'm quite disappointed that there's still no HDMI out option. If it had this feature, I could easily connect it to my ATEM Mini switcher for a discreet live stream angle, which would have been a great addition to my setup.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to keep looking to GoPro for now, as they continue to offer HDMI out on their models. It's a real shame DJI hasn't included this in the Osmo Action 5 Pro – it's such a useful feature for live streaming and multi-camera setups. Hopefully, DJI will consider adding this in future releases.

Totally agree. Because of its “real time” aspect, streaming has specific needs that many cameras don't have or don't consider relevant. Yet a “simple” HDMI output solves these shortcomings.

Same, will keep buying GoPro for this very same reason. Too bad DJI...to think that it has even the "PRO" tag  in the name this year, ludicrous.

Is webcam mode available on these? If so at what resolutions/framerate?
At least that could still allow you to do some form of live streaming

Yeah its there but still only on 30 FPS and the image quality isnt it... Not sure what the Resolution is but definitely not 4k lol

Quick question is this still valid? I think when I received my cam yesterday and updated it there was a line in the changelog stating usb-c to displayport should now work?

The people wants HDMI! (an adaptor DP->HDMI should work then...)

Can confirm that most USB-C to HDMI adapters now work, with RockSteady too.
