1] In FPV setup Goggles 3 + MC3 in lower light conditions is Neo accelerating itself and crashing!

2] Loosing connection with mobile phone and reconnect countdown not re-connect phone and Neo (Samsung S24Ultra)

3] Rocket mode gives me today always error that gimbal's max possition has been reched

4] In Follow mode Higher distance is not returning and need to really give hand up for landing

5] In Spotlight Photo mode not hearable sound that drone took photo if 3s still

6] My first Neo drowned in water during autonomus Circle mode on paddleboard, but still scared to test it again if this issue has been solved :-)

Please feel free to complete the list with your experience to give proper feedback for further fw updates.....

[ Last edited by Stranno In 2024-9-19 11:16 Editor ]\n\n-Palm Landing not 100% reliable. Sometimes it hovers, refuse to land, very affected by the wind. Common bug.

- Take off not 100% reliable. Sometimes it just flies off at maximum speed to one side, at least in rocket mode, never happened in other modes. Rare bug, but extremely risky one.

- No RTH in Mobile App Control. This should be added ASAP. I don't see why it shouldn't be a thing already.

- DirectionTrack barely holds up from the sides. I don't see why it shouldn't, when rear or front tracking works perfectly fine.

DJI clearly states in the manual that you should NOT expect it to fly over water. I tried flying over a stream and it flew however in a strange way.

Hi there,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Kindly take note;

1. Vision positioning is highly dependent on ambient light and ground textures. In low-light conditions or areas with plain and uniform ground textures, the drone may not be able to hover stably. Therefore, we recommend that you shoot using DJI Neo in environments with ample light and distinct ground patterns.

2. Samsung S24Ultra is not compatible with DJI Fly App, please use a compatible device.

4. Normally the Neo will not fly so high during follow mode via Palm control

5. Were you using mobile (DJI Fly App) or RC?

6. As mentioned in User manual, Neo is not recommend to be fly over water, drifting may occur due to Vision positioning is highly dependent ground textures.

Thank you for your recommendations. Please rest assured that we will forward your feedback to the related department for evaluation. In the future, we will optimize and improve the product or service based on user comments.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

Thanks for your feedback. DJI Neo is designed to offer users a convenient vlog shooting experience with palm takeoff and landing, and one-tap subject tracking. For this reason, it is more suitable for shooting scenarios at low altitudes which are close to people, such as daily walks and family time.

The max wind speed resistance of DJI Neo is level 4, which basically allows stable shooting and flying in the aforementioned scenarios. DJI Neo supports EIS functions such as HorizonBalancing. Thus the wind won’t affect the final footage. Please record with confidence.
I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

Wind kinda affects, but it doesn't really have anything to do with these palm landing issues. Here are two examples. It could be just annoying or downright risky, depending on the situation.

I always take off and land my Mini 4 Pro from the hand and it doesn't give me as much problems as the Neo, even when it is a feature on the Neo and just a workaround on the Mini 4 Pro.

To be honest, the Neo has potential to become into a great drone. But all the DJI feedback sounds like an excuse (oh, sorry, that's not the expected behavior, even when we are advertising all of that in the trailer). And most feedback from users are just things that can be actually ironed out, not Neo mechanical/hardware limitations whatsoever.

BTW: Video was recorded on a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. I'm not a DJI hater at all, just a realistic consumer.

Couple of times I have seen the NEO hovering after rocket mode. I had to land it with the app. Anyone has seen this?

Weird Issue -- Bending Over in Direction Track, sends the drone to immediate be in Ultra Near (despite what Settings say - Medium/Far).  I had the drone up and and it was holding station in the appropriate location.  The second I bent over it immediately got within 2-3' of my face when I stood up, and never backed up.

Exactly the same thing happened to me! After rocket, the drone hovered 6 feet over my head. Had to initiate app to bring it down!
