Will the Neo work together with the Goggles 3 and the RC2 controller?

When using the Goggles 3 I believe you must use either the Motion Controller 3 or the FPV Controller 3.

This is correct. Goggles can only be used with the controllers that pair to them, so only RCM3 and FPVRC3.

This is correct. Goggles can only be used with the controllers that pair to them, so only RCM3 and FPVRC3.

This is really frustrating.  I have a Goggles 2 which I can use with my Mini 4 Pro with my Motion Controller 2 but doesn't work with the RC2 controller that I have. The RC 2 works with the Neo as long as I don't used it with my Goggles 2 or the goggles 3.  Now if I want to fly the Neo with goggles I not only have to buy the  Goggles 3 which will evidently work with the Mini 4 Pro but also now have to buy another controller if I want to fly with the goggles instead of the Motion Controller. There was once a hack that allowed the RC 2 to work with the Goggles 2. DJI closed that hack.  Multiple goggles, multiple RC controllers, multiple motion controllers required by anyone who wants to fly more than one DJI drone and also use Goggles instead of one of the motion controllers.

Flying with goggles and a RC controller is MUCH easier than flying with just the RC controller and trying to see anything on the tiny screen you hold in your hands. The RC controller gives much more precise control than the motion controller when flying with goggles but the tiny screen is nearly useless without goggles, especially  when you  have to fight the blinding sunlight on the screen.

I don't understand why if they can make the RC 2 controller work with the Neo they can't or refuse to make it also work with either the Goggles 2 or Goggles 3. I'd buy the Goggles 3 if I had to but not that and another RC type  controller.

I like the Neo but I also like my Mini 4 Pro. I'm not going to keep two of them and buy another set of goggles AND  another RC type controller I'm still in the 30 day return window on Amazon so I guess I'll be sending the Neo back.

I strongly agree with RGS. I own ten (10) DJI drones from the Avata, Mavic 3, Mini 4 Pro, and now Neo series and the cross-compatibility of remotes it TERRIBLE!!! I bought two (2) sets of Integra goggles and Motion 2 controllers for use with the Mini 4 Pro and Avata drones, which are now incompatible with the Neo. I also recently purchased a Motion 3 controller from DJI, but will likely return it since I am having a hard time justifying spending another $500 for yet another headset (Goggles 3) just to control a $199 drone!

Come on DJI - this is absolutely absurd! I literally own eight (8) different types of hand controllers that are in most cases not cross-compatible. In my opinion, this is a very deliberate strategy that DJI has adopted to force customers to keep spending money. Planned obsolecence and deliberately blocking backwards compatibility is a reprehensible product development strategy. This reflects very poorly on DJI as a company and signals a complete disregard for customer experience and satisfaction. I really hope that enough customers speak up about this and encourage DJI to reverse its position. Many of us have been very supportive of DJI in the face of upcoming federal legislation to block DJI sales in the United States. But honestly, if this is how DJI treats its loyal customers, perhaps they should be blocked from US markets.

Hey DJI

I have been a loyal customer for many years. I wrote multiple times to Congress to advocate against the ban.

Please add support for DJI Neo FPV flight with goggles 3 and the RC2/RCN2

Doing so would make buying the neo a no brainer for those of us who already have a mountain of your gear. I waa hoping to teach my son to for FPV with the neo, but this makes this not possible

But I can fly my mini 4 pro with the rc2 and the goggles3 simultaneously! Seems like it would be an easy thing for you to update. Make this happen!!!

Hi isinglass,

Thank you for reaching out. DJI Neo is compatible with RC2 and RCN2, however if you want to use it with DJI Goggles 3 it only support with DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 / DJI RC Motion 3.

This sucks, DJI Neo with Goggles doesn't work with most of the new DJI controllers I have. So much for the DJI ecosystem, can't even use the controllers within it.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Currently, to operate the DJI Neo with DJI Goggles 3, either the DJI RC Motion 3 or the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 is necessary.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.

I have the RC1, the RC2, the N3 and the N2. None of these controllers work with goggles? That's pretty crazy if you ask me. These are all recent DJI controllers and I have to buy another $250 controller to fly a $200 drone.

DJI has been known to be major dck pulling major dck moves as far as compatibility of their controllers and devices, I should know because I bought a THOUSAND dollar controller that did not make it past one generation of drones and they're doing it on purpose to suck us dry

Dang, I didn't know that until I got my Goggles N3. I've got a Mini 4 Pro and a single Neo. I was using it with the RC2. Tried connecting the Neo to the Goggles N3 and the RC2, and after a bunch of tries, I found this page saying I was wrong;  I swear, nothing's easy with DJI.

there's a Telegram group, and tons of them have the same setup, waiting for me to review the new N3 and RC2 stuff.  I told them to stop copying my mistake!

I really hope I can return it to the seller; I can't afford another controller!!

One thing that no one is talking about with this cruel sterategy of DJI to deliberately stop backward compatability is the damage to Planet Earth. All these many controllers and goggles which are only good for flying a specific drone will end up in landfills as electric waste (e-waste) causing pollution and carbon emissions. This is so harmful for already-damaged environment. Using more precious resources to produce a totally non-necessary new controllers and goggles.

DJI care about environment as you clearly give no care to your customers.
