I strongly agree with RGS. I own ten (10) DJI drones from the Avata, Mavic 3, Mini 4 Pro, and now Neo series and the cross-compatibility of remotes it TERRIBLE!!! I bought two (2) sets of Integra goggles and Motion 2 controllers for use with the Mini 4 Pro and Avata drones, which are now incompatible with the Neo. I also recently purchased a Motion 3 controller from DJI, but will likely return it since I am having a hard time justifying spending another $500 for yet another headset (Goggles 3) just to control a $199 drone!
Come on DJI - this is absolutely absurd! I literally own eight (8) different types of hand controllers that are in most cases not cross-compatible. In my opinion, this is a very deliberate strategy that DJI has adopted to force customers to keep spending money. Planned obsolecence and deliberately blocking backwards compatibility is a reprehensible product development strategy. This reflects very poorly on DJI as a company and signals a complete disregard for customer experience and satisfaction. I really hope that enough customers speak up about this and encourage DJI to reverse its position. Many of us have been very supportive of DJI in the face of upcoming federal legislation to block DJI sales in the United States. But honestly, if this is how DJI treats its loyal customers, perhaps they should be blocked from US markets. |
