I am a rock climber and I was stuck with the idea I had to buy a gopro to film my ascents, I already have a Mini 3 but having my belayer holding me plus controlling my drone is kinda crazy work and unsafe so I barely use it while climb, but then I saw NEO actually tracks and follows you around and I need to know some specific stuff about the neo is scenarios like this:

- Is it possible to have the NEO 5 to 7 meters away from me by standard or will it be 2 meters away from me like the videos I have seen of people walking?
- Can it track my back? I mean, I will be facing the rock and climbing up, not walking foward.
- Can it track 360º environment? Other rocks, trees, whatsoever thats big enough for detection?
- Can it sustain at 20 meters high with 30km/h winds?
- How though is the battery for 15/20 minutes climbs?

Question One:  Yes, that is possible.
Question Two:   Yes
Question Three:  ??
Question Four:  Unlikely - check the spec in the manual.
Question Five:  You may get as much as 12 minutes from each battery, is my experience, before getting low battery warnings.

The third question wasnt supposed to be written "Tracking" but detecting surroundings to not hit trees or other faces of the rock/wall.

The Neo has no obstacle avoidance feature. Only downward sensing for landing on your palm or other surface.

Just bought the Neo and been tying out the spotlight and follow me features for rock climbing and scrambling. It works better than I expected as long as you don't get too close to trees and bushes! See  my short YouTube video at
