I've had my Mini 3 Pro for just over a year. It's been working pretty well using my Mavic Air 2 controller.
Thoigh over the past year, I've observed momentarily signal loss when I really didn't expect that (drone within VLOS). I think I experienced a more severe loss of signal when flying around some tall buildings.

I've since read the newer RC has 03+ and a better signal strength. Might I be wise to spend the £245-£255 and buy the newer controler?

Thoughts, opinions and recommendations appreciated.

Frank

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. According to compatibility I believe you are using RC-N1, could you confirm it? Is there any error message prompting on your DJI Fly App when there is a signal lost? Could you also try the troubleshooting steps below;
1) Make sure all DJI device is running on the latest version update.
a. It is recommended to fly your aircraft in an open area with less wireless interference.
b. Stop other apps from running in the background on your mobile device.
c. Keep an eye on the antennas during flight, and keep the antennas facing the position of the aircraft.

If issue persist, please send us a video recording of the problem. This will allow us to investigate further and provide you with the most accurate solution based on the specific issue you're encountering. We are looking forward to your response for further assistance. Thank You

Hi. Thanks for replying. Yes, I'm using the RC-N1.

I've been flying since 2018 so I honestly feel it could be signal interference and/or building interference.

I'm flying near and above 200-600 foot tall buildings, some with mobile repeaters on their roofs.

Since it's my understanding that the RC (RM-330?) with built-in display has a more advance signal design, I'm thinking to just buy the new controller and see if it helps.
