Finally grew the balls to film my friend surf, and I have to say I really like the footage over the water! Shot around mid day so the lighting was horrible but we got some decent shots for only about 45 minutes of our time!

Sometimes a polarizer filter could do wonders however I am not sure if it would have been enough to also get the white water away or you needed a ND16+ filter for this.

Did you use any ND filter?

Strange why are the waves still so white? Is this also in the original video or only at youtube? Or is it a camera limitation and you cant do anything I honestly didnt use it at any beach until now.
I cannot choose 4K did you make it in 1080p? This sure has negative effect on the waves. If you made it in 4K try to upload it again maybe youtube recognizes it as 4K then.
