I'm seeing the a problem when trying to use the Dashboard in the DJI Mimo app and I think it's a software bug on the camera og in the DJI Mimo app.

When trying to match a workout from Garmin Connect to the video recorded by the Action 5 it says: Failed to obtain matching sports data

Before the workout I have checked that the time on the Action 5 is correct, the time on the Gamin Edge is correct. However when editing the video on the DJI Mimo app and choosing the dashboard overlay I get the same above error when trying to import/match workout data from Garmin Connect.

However if I just choose the cameras own data in the overlay (gforce, time etc.), and choose to show the time option in the overlay the time is no longer correct - it is 1 hour ahead of the cameras own time.

If I have a long workout (a couple of hours), it is still possible to match Garmin Connect data, but it has to be time adjusted to 3.600.000 milliseconds - also indicating a bug whith the time being 1 hour ahead in DJI Mimo app.

Please fix this bug DJI.

I can confirm that this issue exists on Action 5 - in overlay the time is like 1h ahead.

I have tried all your suggestions but it doesn’t help. As I mentioned I don’t think there is something wrong with the device. It is a time problem when importing to the Mimo app. The time is correct on the camera.

Hi there, thank you for the response above and we do apologize for the trouble caused. The best course of action would be to submit an online repair request here: {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. If you need assistance with creating a ticket, you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support. We understand that this is not the answer that you look forward to, but this would be the best thing to do in this situation. In addition, warranty service can be claimed depending on the result of the Damage Assessment.

Your kind understanding is appreciated and thank you for your continued support.

Having same exact problem. Contacted dji tech support and sent them the log file. Still no resolution. Hoping this gets resolved soon.

Everyone is having the same problem, this camera was not ready for release. If anyone has got Garmin data to overlay on OA5 pro please post here.  I suspect no one has.

I have succeed - but only by importing the .fit file directly into the Mimo app and then go to the dashboard and choose “Time Ajustment” and set it around 3.600.000 ms (a tedious task, when you can only adjust by 5 seconds at a time)

Nope, I’ve wasted hours in vain. I asked them point blank if they even tested feature and they claim they did. I have a hard time believing that

You and me both,  Just tell us this feature will be in a future firmware update, so we don't waste hours trying to figure it out.

DC rainmaker claimed there is a way to manually upload fit file, but does not explain how. I was able to get a fit file uploaded ( don’t ask me how I was frantically trying anything) the app let me select hr, power gradient etc. I was excited however when I played the video HR was pegged at 147 and didn’t move and it showed zero (0) power and Cadence

Same here with the Garmin Edge 530 and DJI OSMO Action 5. I can manually import the file and select it and it applies the overlay but the overlay does not show any data, the speed etc is zero. Manually adjusting the time didn't help. Both the camera and GPS are set to the correct time. The overlayed time in the DJI MIMO app is plus one hour and so is incorrect. The camera is not faulty, it looks like a software bug somewhere.

Please check you camera time setting, when you set the time on the action 5 note that it sets +1 on applying the only way to get creect time is set one hour behind current time. Even if you don’t change the time & simply view it on the date&time option then touch the tick it adds one hour every time.

I don’t import data for dashboard so can’t advise but having read many comments related to time stamping issues thought mentioning the camera time issue might be related. I would also look at the timecode value and reset post setting camera time to ensure all are synced.  I have provided logs to DJI who confirm it’s a software error & needs a fix.  Since any imported data will be timeline synced it stands to reason this might the cause but I am unable to test the theory as it’s not how I use the camera.  If you set the camera time to -1 hour then apply it should then be the correct local time you have set on any device/watch collecting the gps data etc. Fish did a video about the time setting issue after I mentioned it on his timer shooting thread.

I have the same problems, both in the video tags used for dashboard and setting time manually adding one hour. This may have to do with the time zone not being record in the tags and it assumes is UTC when for me is UTC+1.Other workaround I found is to edit the video with MP4Workshop and set the timezone to UTC+1 but this requires moving the video back and forth to the PC. This is really annoying

Yup you would have thought this a quick fix for DJI to make but at least they recognise it needs a fix now after supplying logs & replication steps.  Hopefully we see another fw update soon.

I did a two hour ride today and when i saved the ride the camera saved around 6 files.I downloaded two of the files and one i can import the data no problem and the other it says cannot find which is annoying as i never changed the battery so was from start to finish which is very strange why it gets the data for one and not the other

That is most likely because of the 1h difference issue. The ride that you were able to import gps data for, will probably not have the right data. Look at the numbers (speeds, cadence, heartrate etc) and see if they make sense.
This is how I first found out that there is something wrong. You're looking at numbers that were an hour back.
So, the file that you couldn't import gps data for, is most likely the last one (time wise).

The problems seems to have gone away along with daylight savings time. As I'm now on UTC it seems all is ok... that is until march with the next time change

Hi, I'm experiencing this issue as well - with DJI Osmo action 5 pro.
In the DJI MIMO app in the dashboard, I have linked my Garmin account, but it is unable to sync it to my video due to the time sync issue.
Importing the .fit file as well shows no data since it is out of sync by what I am guessing is one hour.
Can this be resolved please, as the whole reason I upgraded from my osmo action 3 to the 5 pro is for the data overlay. It is also very disappointing to find that the only way to add the overlay is using the phone app but that is a separate issue
