Me too. My controller still charging my iPhone even if the option "Phone Charging" is disabled.

My controller battery lasting a little more of 1 hour and the probably cause is the charging that is not disabled.

I have exactly the same problem! Just got my new dji neo fly more combo. I have restarted dji fly app (latest version), remote control and the drone, still the problem persist. Also all firmare is up to date. As I connect controller usb-c to phone it starts charging and doesn’t disable it even when in settings I have disabled phone charging. Disturbing, cause don’t waste the controller juice for fully charged iPhone… please fix that bug asap :/

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble caused. May I confirm the exact DJI product you're using? Also, have you tried restarting the remote controller ? If you're using DJI RC-N3, kindly refer to comment #2 and try turn off the option for charging mobile phone.

Keep us posted the outcome and thank you for your understanding.

Hello, I have the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro Max while connecting to the RC-N3 every time I connect. I have toggled off the option multiple times, restarted the app, phone, and controller multiple times to no avail. Also, my controller refuses to connect to my PC to get a log using DA2. I've tried both USB-C ports on the controller and two different USB-C ports on my PC. I just want the controller to stop charging my phone. I'm also on the latest firmware. This seems to be a pretty widespread problem that needs to be addressed via firmware. From my research it appears that iPhones with lighting ports do not suffer from the issue but only newer iPhones with USB-C ports universally have the issue.

Same problem here, this is nonesense, not only DJI took one of the batteries off the controller, so it lasts less than RC-N2, but to add insult to injury, phone charging cannot be disabled, obviously it is a bug, but a very nasty one. Now, the decision to lower the controller's battery capacity, is a brainfart, not a bug.

I’m having the same issue with my neo and n3 controller with my iPhone 15 pro max. Charging the phone also produces more heat, so phone display is dim even sooner.

On Android it is not possible to "not charge" the phone while connected via USB-C by design
I suppose this is the reason there is no switch to turn it off in Fly app

(I do not have a iPhone and no knowledge about those)

The switch for the power on the cellphones should be on the RC-N3 controller End.

Thank you for your feedback. Since DJI RC -N3 does not have a built-in screen, you will need to use your mobile device to access the DJI Fly app and turn off/on the feature. Please rest assured that we will register your feedback and pass it on to the relevant departments for evaluation. We are committed to continuously optimizing and improving our product's compatibility features. For the latest updates, please stay tuned to our official website. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hallo
I just  think about buying a flip with RC 3N controller. Is this issue solved?
If not, how long will it take, assuming is still open for 6 month now.

Hallo

Hi there, thank you for your interest with DJI Flip, and appreciate your inquiry. Unlike the previously released RC-N2/N1 remotes, the RC-N3 remote has upgraded to a new USB chip and low-power design, allowing for stable communication without supplying power when connected to most phone models. However, a few phone models do not support communication without power, so when connected to the remote, they will still receive slow USB charging to ensure a stable connection with the mobile device.

The previously released remotes, like the RC-N2/N1, required power when connecting to mobile devices to ensure stable communication, which is similar to how a phone receives slow charging when connected to a computer. Hope this answered your concern about the charging issue. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Plenty of conversation over the years about this issue in all the forums where a phone is used in conjunction with a remote.

It will never be resolved.
