When I shoot multiple videos with my DJI NEO and transfer them to my iPhone through the DJI app, some or all of the files have incorrect timestamps.
It seems like the timezone setting might be wrong.

How can I do to fix this issue? Or Dji guys will fix it?

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

I have the same issue. Currently trying to work out a solution but appears to be when swapping out battery and then flying without using either phone or controller.  Once connected to my iPhone the date/time corrects itself. Interested to know if others have same experience??

It's an issue that's been going on for quite a while, and not just with Neo. Connecting it to DJI Fly once every day before flying should update your datetime, but it doesn't always work.

Dji is a so creative company. Why such a basic issue is not able to solved? Timestamp is a basic feature for videos. Please help fix it ASAP.  Thanks.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. May I confirm if the firmware is updated to the latest version? If no, kindly update or refresh the firmware . Also, kindly double check the time settings of the mobile device. It is recommended to connect to the Internet and refresh the time automatically, or manually adjust the time settings of the mobile devices

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Thank you for your reply. To confirm I am running the latest firmware and the time/date on my iPhone is correct.

This issue only occurs when using the Neo without a controller or mobile device. For example, I powered up the drone this morning and did a simple 'follow me' video taking off from my palm. When reviewing the video the date and time was incorrect and showed the last time the drone was powered on, which was 2 days previously.

So it appears that although the battery was fully charged the drone does not maintain the correct date & time until it reconnects with the DJ Fly App. Can this be investigated please - I bought this drone to use independently of any additional device  - having to reconnect first to update the time or having to edit the timestamp after the recording should not be necessary.

Many thanks....

Hi there, thank you for your response above. Kindly take note that it's recommended to connect your drone to DJI Fly App and to the internet to synchronize the time. The drone is unable to refresh the time automatically without the connection.

However, we will consider this as a suggestion. Your valuable feedback will be promptly forwarded to the relevant team for a thorough evaluation. We would like to assure you that we are committed to providing the best user experience. Thank you for your continued support.

Thanks for your reply...

To clarify, are you saying that if we fly the drone without a mobile or controller, for example use the 'follow' feature and palm launch, then the date and time will always be incorrect unless we first connect to one of those devices?

Surely that defeats the object of being able to use the drone autonomously and as advertised by DJI ?? !!!

Regarding your comment "The drone is unable to refresh the time automatically without the connection",  that doesn't make total sense to me because as soon as the drone gets a satellite  GPS fix, it should also be able to get the date and time from that.
