Hi everyone,
After performing the latest firmware update on my DJI NEO, it won't turn on anymore. The indicator lights show up normally while charging, but when I press and hold the power button, the device doesn't turn on and doesn't give any message.
I’ve tried fully charging the battery and repeating the process, but with no success. Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?
I appreciate any help in advance!

Probably best to record a video for DJI support showing:

1) drone on the charger seeing all 4 leds are solid
2) disconnect the charger and press the power button once to see if the leds light up
3) try to power it on to show what (if anything) happens

I've just performed the firmware update, and the Neo starts up just fine. Hope you find the solution.

I had the same problem. I connected my controller to the neo using the cable that came in the package. Then pressed the neo start button and it started.

I noticed you said press and hold, the proper method is a two press and hold, so press twice and hold on the 2nd press. I learned this when I had an issue at first few uses.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Have you activated the drone yet? The DJI Fly app is required for activating DJI Neo. Note that an internet connection is required for activation. Different product combos have different activation methods.

Activating without using remote controller

1. Enable Wi-Fi on the smartphone.
2. Make sure the smartphone is connected to the internet. Open DJI Fly, then register or log in to your DJI account.
3. Press, then press and hold the power button for two seconds to power on DJI Neo.
4. Tap Connection Guide on the bottom right corner of the DJI Fly app, select DJI Neo, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete connection and activation.

Activating using remote controller

1. Connect DJI RC-N3 to your mobile device.
2. Make sure the mobile device is connected to the internet.

We hope this information is helpful.

Okay, thanks for solving my problem. I have watched many videos about the proper way to power on the Neo, and they all said to do one short press followed by a long, two-second press. Powering on my Neo was always hit-and-miss. Now, after reading your post, my issue is solved. Update: After submitting this post, I had issue powering the Neo with both methods. I then reseated the battery pack, the problem cleared. I am pretty sure that the Neo is finacky.

I have only had my DJI Neo for 2 days. Today i updated the firmware and then charged battery as it was only on 18% charge. Now I can’t turn it on. If connected to charger it comes on for a second and the propellers then it turns off. This is frustrating

I’ll try this but I’m having the same issue and I just got it in yesterday in the mail and did the firmware update.
