Is it possible to access the photos and video without the DJI app?
I still cannot use my Droid to connect with the Phantom. Actually connects won't talk.
So I bothered by neighbors, and used their IPhone to connect. I took some videos and photos, but it got late and said I would download them and share them later. Unfortunately, I now sit here reading the manual and it appears I need the DJI app on my phone to access the photos and videos.

Well you can just plug the phantom gimbal into your PC and download the photos, phantom needs to be on and the USB port is on the gimbal not the one for updating the phantom at the front.
Or you can remove the micro SD card and put that into your PC (you might need to use an adaptor for normal SD cards).

edit, sorry I was assuming you have a V+ like me.

You may connect the Micro-USB port on the camera gimbal to gain access to the video and image files stored in the gimbal without using the DJI Vision App.
