I am newbie here, and I am wondering........Generally, if you have car, the service intervals are specified by the manufacturer in a service schedule and some modern vehcle display the due date for the next service electronically on the instrument panel, such as millage or period.

Anybody know about officially recommended Service frequency of P3 by DJI ?  If DJI does not officially specify the schedule, I hope that DJI has to specify about this matter at least, cause they should know durability of our birds.  Off course, I understand that it depends on how user fly, but vehcle also as same...... some rough driver and some pollite driver...

If you can check all ellectrical and computerize phenomen by yourself at any time, it may be all right.. But some of user like me, could not check by ownself, so I should send to authorised dealer or shop time by time.
cause we cant expect unvisible body and prop pronblem, motor, ellectrice or computerize failure....

Anybody have any idea or suggestion ?
and I hope that DJI should specify to the recommend service intervals ?
or as a guidance at least.

DJI wants you to buy another one ASAP... I doubt they are thinking about cutting into their money printing machine buy giving out a service manual.

Hahaha..  business strategy.. but now more and more people get drone, and may cause more cases within one or two years later after purchase, as result, we cant freely fly, cause all government will limit area to fly... And they dont need to print, they can make some guidance at a PDF or  something to let us or technician to see....

Even though, DJI or other manufacturer need to consider the kind of matters soon. Better be early.....
At least, more people check their birds each period, at least can reduce incidents future, I guess,,, This may link to Insurance matter also, in japan, whoever buy DJI Product, already inclusive of insurance ....

LOL, great responses. I think they are correct. The company can ignore this issue and will probably not even affect their profits or sales.
DJI is like the Apple of the Drone world imo. However.., I was told Samsung is no longer bringing out phones with replaceable batteries (the first thing to go in a phone). The reasons are obviou$.

Anyway.., DJI is like Apple. I owned other drones that you could just rebuild and use whatever aftermarket parts with ease. But stuff like;
Specialised chargers and plugs, battery, fixed camera (probably not upgradable either. Need a whole new unit) just make it so restricting.

But.., they have Lightbridge so yea. Until some other company reverse engineers that tech.., I'm stuck with DJI for 2015.

Yes, I thought exactly same thing as you said... DJI business strategy is exactly same as Apple or so. But iphone may not harm anybody on the road or park.... maybe happen buttery charger blast in their house.. own risk....
but our birds fly on interesting places, such as park, mountain, road, and so on..  most area are public, we need fly on or near somebody....   most of us always concern about safety when we fly..... but machine may be something wrong midst of air even we check all the time before flight .... so we need to prevent to happen more incident... we may ask specialist to check once a 100 times flight or 3 months, something like that.
I hope that DJI can consider to more security issue for every user... Thats is their responsibility, off course we maintain our responsibility also. Anytime I fly, I find evacuation point to make my bird to drop, just in case any emergency.

The main consideration for DJI is Profit and Sales Volume.  You either make money or go out of business.  There will be no recommended maintenance schedule only replacement by buying the latest and greatest DJI and housing your old DJI in the closet.  Keep dreaming.................

Everybody know all companies consider profit and sales volume. I am talking about resposibility as same level as you drive car. if manufacturer never consider, the specialist like you, can suggest begginer how often maintenance..kind of sollution, I guess... More incidents happen, make more strict regulation.. hence, less place to enjoy.. Thats my point.

it is not easily possible to say when to change the electronic parts, the only thing would be motors!
i was going to change mine every 100 hours but after a bit of research ive changed my mind.
with a good routine maintenance and pre flight checks, i think everything on the p3 wil last well in to the age of the next P4!
