They've all got bugs, it's a relatively new technology so there will be some issues with any of them including DJI's stuff. It's the nature of the beast. IMO, it's more important that you are very familiar with your bird and how to properly control it. Particularly, in emergency situations. I've had many "software" related issues but because I'm very confident in my ability to control my craft, they haven't created any catastrophic events. I did have one issue a long time ago with my P2 where I lost the ability to control the bird and it crashed. I was using the DJI Vision app at the time. To this day, I have no idea what happened. Short of that one incident, I've had no other issues.
I am extremely interested in Ground Station and POI flying, that's why I recommended those two apps. They are much more robust and versatile compared to DJI Go.
